Old school toon is the best but it is so hard to find 80's tmnt fics. Great story hope you will write more OLD SCHOOL tmnt fics.

Hm reading this chappy, I can't figure out if the Shredder is still there enemy or not?

Hi, I think this an excellent and well-written sotry, but there I just a few discrepancies I thought I'd point out:

*During the time period this episode is set in, Krang, Rocksteady, Bebop, the Technodrome and all of the Rock/Foot Soldiers are in Dimension X, whilst Shredder is stuck with Baxter Stockman on earth.

*The Rock Soldiers are apparently rocks brought to life by mutagen, they are stocky red figures, with one exception; Lt. Granitor, the beak-nosed grey Rock Soldier from Hot-Rodding Teenagers from Dimension X.

*Though the original Foot Clan Ninjas still exist, they're over in Japan, most likely under the control of some loyal (?) subordinate of Shredder's. All of the Foot Soldiers in the series are robotic duplicates, incapable of independant thought. Shredder probably programs them with the Foot's fighting technique, but they're controlled from the Technodrome's main computer.

*The only organic soldiers in Shredder's army are the streetpunks he picks Rocksteady & Bebop from. What happens to them afterwards is unknown; he shows them all mutated as part of his continuing experiments with Mutagen in A Thing About Rats, whilst he uses one of them to demonstrate his Retro-Mutagen Ray in Shredded and Splintered.

*Shredder does have some knowledge about training; he was the leader of the Foot Clan whilst Hamato Yoshi was in America, and in Invasion of the Punk Frogs (7 episodes after Case of the Killer Pizzas) he trains four mutant frogs to help him fight the Turtles- he only trains them for a short time, but they're equal matches for the Turtles.

Anyway, nothing against the story, I like it very much, just thought I'd point these things out.

A very impressive fic, well-written and well-thought-out. Just one tiny little nitpick; in the universe you're basing this on, all of the Foot Soldiers (in America/Dimension X at least) are mechanical automatons- robots. They die pretty often in the early epsiodes- blowing to pieces when they get hit hard enough.

Like I said I watched these shows years ago, when i was a little kid. But that is basically how I remember the soldiers from Dimension X looking. And if I remember correctly...and I have no idea why I even remember at all, they were shown only briefly on a view screen and then it cut out because the Turtles came in and wrecked havock.

Out of a job? This is his biggest problem right now? He jjust lost his oh so prescous cool in front of a pack of immeture mutants that are his sworn enemies and he is upset over his chances in the new job market?

...fix it for him? Please tell me that was a false offer. Can they really be that sheltered?

the chars are progressing or growing beautifully. So far everything I've read by you has shown the same amazing depth in the chars reguardless of how real or fantastical their 'verses are. Man I wish I could write like this...but about the things I'm more into.

I must say that I absolutely love Shredder's sarcastic comments. It's an amazing tone you've got there. It seems to me he is half playing it up as camoflage and half astounded that they are saying the things they say. Obviously he has seen their moves...they've tried to kill him nearly every time they've seen him. and I love the way he called Donny an idiot. I was wanting to say that then too. ...I can so pic him with Alan Rickman's voice.

I do like the seriousness withwhich you are able to treat these chars. I think it must take an admirable ammount of thought and intention. Well...it's that or think you're about as much of a freak as I am.

Oh, and wonderful continuty of the different chars' personas.

I'm only reviewing here because that last bit was SUCH a male thing to do. And now that I'm reviewing I have to say that Raph's seeming enraptured with Shredder is also very male. It is very real that a young male who has been under exposed to people (using the term loosely) would in fact idolise someone who was able to be what he wished to be, and those ideals would be skewed by an unrealistic perspective because of immaturity.

Ok. I have convinced myself that if I am going to read this, I may as weel be honest about it. I started out just reading it because it struck me as amasingly out of nowhere to find a Turtles fic...well, anywhere, but especially on your author page. I guess I'm gona continue to read it to see if you manage to treat this as seriously as you have treated the other fics I've read.

Yes I was a big-time fan when I was a kid. And my favoured turtle -was- Raph. And I was also a it upset over the fact that Leo always seemed to give the others more latitude and always seemed to come down ** Raph.

This story was awesome! I'm sorry it ended. =(

I loved the way you depicted Shredder, as I'm pretty sure I already mentioned.

It was also very cleverly and humourously written! I loved how funny it was, from Shredder's fear of heights, to the way Raph idolized Shredder as a hero.

I thought it stayed true to the feel and atmosphere of the old cartoon. Very well done!

You know, you could get away by writing a sequel to this story... hint hint, nudge nudge!

It's wonderful (and funny) to see Raph and Shredder as friends. This is going to put a twist on their future battles! I don't believe that Shredder can kill him now, not after all of this. Of course, Raph won't be able to kill Shredder either...
