so sad... but I can't believe that Sesshoumaru would die fighting a dragon or be surpassed by Inuyasha. All the same, this was a great sad story.

Gosh, no... I swear I'm not gonna reread it *anguished cry* and not because it's badly written or what -- far from that! But I think you've understood. I really admire your writing style, as well as your characterisation of our beloved heroes: if only you didn't choose so many death-plots ;_;

That was...something. A ** sychological twist indeed. The fact that Sesshoumaru would die first NEVER ever occurred to me before, seriously. It's usually Rin who dies in many fanfictions.
Now, Jaken - while I hate him for his voice (in anime), had me taken away, and I felt really sympathetic with him. At some point, I even felt more sorry for him that for Rin...now that's strange.
The pat on the head was justified, and I believed Sesshoumaru WOULD do such a thing.
Overall, I like the story because of its orginal idea. Keep those coming, would ya?

It was good, and I didn't find it to be rough. You know, I don't really like Jaken, but in this FF I feel sorry for the both of them. Sesshomaru was all that they had and now he's gone...

Wow. Have you seen Alfred Hitchcock's movie "Psycho", where the lead character gets unexpectedly killed half-way through the story? Your fic hit me rather like that. I had no idea as I began with Rin and Jaken at the campfire that their real situation would turn out to be so lonely or grave. Bravo for actually killing off (temporarily or not) Sesshoumaru! ^_^ (Seriously, in a lot of fics Rin dies [or re-dies] and gets revived [again] but it's refreshingly rare to see Sesshoumaru the one in trouble). Also, you write a good Aun. The dragon is real presence and came across as a believable animal that snorts, growls and needs to fed just as much as Rin or Jaken. Good start to a story -- will there be further chapters?
