an interesting story... i believe that everyone who has played a pokemon game has experienced this
dannichu one thing that you should notice, is that all but 1 legend in every game is 1-try, and the other if you faint it you cant catch it. if this was any pokemon at all, it would be "rare" and not "legendary", like absol, chimecho, relicanth, elekid, magby, etc
and from what i'v seen, those are rare to find.
sadly i dont really get like this anymore... it really frustrated me at first but then i used it as a time waster ^.^

I pity the rare ones. Like Chimecho. Like Tropius and Absol. Rare, but only of real use in fanfiction. a shame, really.

morbid humour aside, it's dark and thought provoking. I really hope I've never done that on any of my game paks...Which almost guarantees that I have. Oh well, I'll keep that in mind when I play from now on. I can understand why Dannichu likes your stuff.

You know, this reminds me of me trying to catch a Chimecho, differeance is, I haven't even SEEN a wild one before. I can totally relate to this. (Sorry if the spelling is a bit off.)

I thought that was pretty melodramatic for a fic that doesn't need all the drama. And there's a kind of pent up frustration when you're trying to catch a Pokemon in one of the GBAs and just can't manage it, that's isn't quite there in this fic.
Also, I think you should let the reviewers decide whether or not your fic is 'unique' but heck, that's only my opinion.

This has been me so many times... those legendaries are such a pain to catch, especially the dog/cat/things, since they're the most difficult to find. I reckon it's about Lati@s personally. It fits. I really liked this because I think it's something every Pokémon fan has been though about a zillion times, but nobody I know has ever bother writing it down. Yayness.

I think you're missing the point. Of course you're not supposed to be finding the plot interesting. You're not supposed to be liking it just because you can relate to it either, if you thought that. This is a thought put forth as a story. The main point of it is all this passion and determination to catch a rare Pokémon that you're never going to use.

If this was a fic simply about somebody searching for a rare Pokémon for a while and catching it, like one simply about you eating dinner, yes, it would be boring. But if the fic featuring you eating dinner actually had some kind of a thoughtful theme like that - then yes, I would find it very interesting.

Another point of it is simply being different. This fic could be set in the Pokémon world with a "real" trainer attempting to catch a "real" Pokémon. But what would set it apart from all the other fics out there if it were? At least this fic is unique, however 'boring' it might be to you.

I respect that this fic might not suit your taste and that you prefer a fic with plot - but that doesn't change that you're missing the point.

This was quite boring. It's like me telling you about dinner last night: sure, we can all realate on a level, but who really cares? As a fic, or any literary work, this is very sub-par.

Ah... how this reminds me of me. Though I must say I was thinking of The Matrix when I opened this fic up ^^;
The 'wobble's had a nice effect, and I also like how you doidn't mention the pokémon's name, so nobody could scorn it. I guess it's just "that pokémon" we can never catch for each of us.
Also I liked the thing about the Master Ball and how you always save it... and never use it.

Interesting, I know I can feel the girl's fustration. The only difference between the girl and myself is that I use most of the Pokemon I catch...even the rare ones.

Wow, I've totally been there before, especially while trying to catch those bloody legendary beasts. There's nothing more frustrating than trying to catch a rare pokémon.

That said, this was a very interesting and curiously suspenseful story. Lovely idea.
