| spaceisawaste 2005-06-11 ch 1, | abuseThe one thing that disturbs me about 'Stranded' is that Robin's manner of 'appeasing' Starfire to rekindle their relationship seems built on trivial things, and it bothers me to think that he may--as always--be taking advantage of her naivete. Although we did see examples of her NOT being naive in the episode, which was a glorious (cough) thing to witness. It reminds me somewhat of her better moments in the Silkie episode. As for the fic, I wonder if you always write with such eloquence or if you reserved it for this story in order to best recognize the the cultural verbosity of Starfire. Regardless of your motive, it fits very well. And the dialogue is spot on. I'm doubtful as always that Robin would seize upon her in an embrace like he did in the end, but what is but to dream...and/or doubt? Nmiaow. I like fics like this that make me think.
