LiliaBella 2009-04-23 . chapter 28Great story! I loved the way you used the mythologies, Norse being my favorite out of all mythologies!
Your imagery and descriptions were amazing! And since you love tombs and all, did you know there's an island outside of Italy (not Sicily)that's basically a huge tomb for all of those that fell ill with the plague? They ended up building a hospital over it and the Italians refer to the island as an evil place and refuse to travel anywhere near it. It's pretty cool.
Well great work again, if I could give you a rating it'd be 110/10! =) |
Naela 2009-03-30 . chapter 28What a beautiful ending to such an epic story.
I'm sure you've read this statement many times before, but I'll just say it anyway... I usually don't go out of my way to read Seiftis fics, but I just had to make an exception for a story that's been so compelling from the start.
Also being a bit of a buff in Gnosticism and Nordic myths I really enjoyed the concepts you utilized in the fic.
And kudos to you for the bittersweet ending and leaving it open ended for the hopeless Squinoa fans like me. |
meiousei 2009-03-08 . chapter 28I've been following this story for a long time, and can't believe I neglected to leave a note upon your final chapter. This is a fantastic piece of work, and I've really enjoyed reading it. I hope you write more stories in the future! |
Jayliyah 2009-02-13 . chapter 28So this is the end of a truly mesmerizing and unique story. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I believe you've done the characters justice in every aspect. At the end, it was fitting and like someone said, poignant and powerful in a way.
I have to say that I usually read Squall and Rinoa fics in this fandom, as I adore them as a couple. Mostly in these fics, writers tend to put Seifer and Quistis together and I thought it worked. They seemed to have this contrasting relationship that still balances itself out; however, I've never read a Seiftis in all its glory -- so for you to pull me into your story, capturing me with your writing just proves to me that you are fantastic.
No matter if you never write another fanfic again, I still wanted to let you know that you have a wonderful epic on your hands, and you'll do great things in the future. Thanks for writing this, for making me like the couple and for giving me an insightful perspective of them. |
Jayliyah 2009-02-13 . chapter 27Wow. My first reaction is that I can't believe that noone has reviewed this chapter, as it's mind-blowing... completely. So to fix that, I thought I should. And if I'm gonna be honest right now, I've been reading this story for some days now - my eyes were literally glued to the screen, and I had to stop quite a few times to take a break, or I fear they would've gone bad. XD
I was actually so engrossed that I was going to read it right through and review when it ended, but then I saw the review count and I figured you should have 200 reviews. =P It's only fair after all the hard work you put into this.
What a way to end the chapter... again. I mean, I was expecting this huge fight between Vidar and Hyne and then it just goes 'poof'! I really hope Selphie and Rinoa aren't dead... |
Mynd's Matter 2009-02-10 . chapter 28I almost peed my pants laughing at "Did you know Quistis was sleeping with Dr Shipey!?" But seriously, yay! LOL I was waiting for that bit.
It was a lovely ending to a wonderful story and I do hope you'll write more for this couple one day. Or maybe that ridiculous comedy fic we've been tossing about. ^_^
I should say something profound here but all I can really say is that I feel it was a perfect ending. Peaceful. A sense of closure. |
horsecrazy2 2009-01-24 . chapter 28I don't have the time now to leave a long review, but I just wanted to let you know that I'd finished the story, and that, despite your own doubts, I think you handled the ending very well. It was poignant without being overdone, and the emotions of all involved were very well done. I was completely absorbed in the final fight scene between the gang and Hyne. I don't have a chair in my apartment, so I just push my couch up in front of my computer when I'm using it, and I can tell you I was literally on the edge of my couch. lol
I'm a bit sad this is over, as I looked forward to updates, but I am glad to see everything wound neatly up. :) And don't be quite so hard on yourself--though that's a lot easier said than done, I know, as I tend to be a perfectionist about my writing--but as a reader, I can tell you this story was extremely well-done, interesting, and much more worthwhile than most published fiction on the market. Thanks for sharing it with us. |
Nasuki- formally Orihime Girl 2009-01-23 . chapter 28I think that this is one of my favorite stories in the history of ever, and that if you ever come up as an Author, I'll be pre-ordering every single one. This was the most amazing fanfiction my eyes have ever seen and it was an honor and privilege to read it. Simply Amazing work!

Clement Rage 2009-01-16 . chapter 26I smell a 'Seifer gets left behind somehow and Quistis thinks she can fight Hyne and can't' storyline. (I've read a few paragraphs of chapter 17, but that's all, I promise)
Seriously, though, this is brilliant. I should've added it to my favourites long ago. Don't worry about the delay, you can't rush quality. I'd much prefer this to something updated every week that wasn't as good. The polished works are always the best. |
sulou 2009-01-13 . chapter 28Lovely. I enjoyed this up to the very end. |
Omega Gilgamesh 2009-01-13 . chapter 16FINALLY, after about three hours of reading, I finally found where I left off months ago when I last checked out this story. Now I get to have the fun of reading the (let's see here) TWELVE REMAINING CHAPTERS?!?! Man, I was more behind on this story than I thought. Oh this'll take a while.
And I'm glad to see you finished this story, though it nearly took you four years. I still remember stumbling onto this story back when the first draft was up, and you weren't even to the point yet where they met up with Seifer in Dollet. My current big project has been in production for over two, and I can't wait to finish it, though I've lost a lot of my interest in it. |
SGJA 2009-01-13 . chapter 28I've been following this story for a long time and I just wanted to say I really enjoyed it. Thank you for writing it. |
A Xie Luo 2008-11-28 . chapter 21 The whole plot twist is great and it's interesting reading so far up till chapter 21. I'm just a great deal tired of the continuous baseless exaggerated complaints, negative judgements, and empty remarks the two main characters, Quistis and Seifer, make. And Quistis seems OOC.
But still I'll continue reading. |
horsecrazy2 2008-11-17 . chapter 26So I finally had the chance to catch up on this story, and I just thought I'd let you know that I'm still really enjoying it. Seifer taking Vidar from Quistis and then not telling her about it was so Seifer of him. I think you write him well.
And I have to say, the description of Zell's winter coat and hooker boots cracked me up. The only critique I would give is that no one really seems that broken up over having to kill Rinoa--you've mentioned a few times some pangs of sadness, and Selphie being bummed, but it seems fleeting. I do think they would kill her to stop Hyne, I just think there would be some more agonizing over it. And maybe there was agonizing earlier on and I just don't remember it, and now they're just mostly resigned. If that's the case, then just ignore me. It just stuck out in my head while I was reading the last few chapters.
Can't wait to see how this ends, and I definitely think this is your best FF 8 fic yet. I read a couple of others a while back, before I even started posting my fic, and you have grown so, so much in your writing. It's great to see. I bet you could make a living at this if you wanted to. |
 pacificuser 2008-09-13 . chapter 1Very cool! |
