I just realised I've read this before. Sorry I didn't review the first time. It was an excellent little story. Poor Nicky. You really seem to like your angst.

This story really carries a punch. Great job turning those lines into something that wasn't a lighthearted story.

Kinda spooky there, sniff, sniff. Yeah, I've wondered myself how anyone's state of mind would be after such an experience, and I too would worry (if I were Grissom and Sara), about fear and desperation being the thing that brings people together. Interesting take - hm, could make for a good first chapter of a nice angsty multi chapter exploring all those difficult facets of their relationship. Hint intended.

Poor Nicky. If I'm teary for this, I think I'll be crying my eyes out when the finale comes. Anyway, no need to tell you that you rock since I'm sure you already know, but just incase you don't--you are an awesome, amazing and very talented writer. (>-)

Whoa! That has to be one of the most original uses of the challenge lines I have ever read. Life really is unfair at times, and you captured the feelings perfectly. Excellent story.
