Ugh...I'm going to try to find a happier story of yours, but I really liked this. But then again, I'm a huge fan of AU too. =)
Thistlescratch 2006-06-26 ch 2,	abuseA lovely story! I read The Highwayman in a book of children's poems with I was little (I always have fostered morbid tendancies...), and loved it. This is a beautiful adaptation of the poem, and I'm looking forward to getting into the sequel. If you're interested, by the way, I'm doing something similar with Outgrabe's version of the Ballad of Tam Lin and Rurouni Kenshin characters.

Actually, The Highwayman is a poem originally, one that I had memorized at one point...can't remember it all, but I COULD pick out the lines from it. And I've heard the song, too. Realy cool, and I love thinking of Sess as French...in those boots...sexy boots...XD Hah. Kidding. But really, great job.

In Middle School for english class when we had to pick a poem to read to the class that was the one I chose. Everytime I read it I bawl my out. While I was reading I noticed you left out the part about the stable boy and I was wondering, and now that I see the sequel teaser I think you're a genius. I cant wait for the sequel.
