Nice work, Thundercub. Oh, and Cheetah? Who says that they can't have stuff like temperature strips and the sedatives? The latter can be made by special herbs and as for the former... The Great Gummis created the Gummiscope, an airship, the Gummarine along with several other things that would seem too advanced for that time. So it fits.

I love the way you switch and meld scenes- like a pro! However, I do have a problem with the fever strip thingie to take temperatures and also the sedative. As an insanely creative individul who hates putting modern things into the past, I'd use natural stuff- a powder or smell that puts people out, or something else. And a good barbic would tell a temperature difference just by touch in my opinion. Hope this helps:) Keep writing!
