But if they're both going to the same place in the same way they're bound to cross paths and when that happens it will seem the excitement and trouble will start. Not that it hasn't done so already, but I'm sure it will escalate when they start looking for the other clues. Anyway, looking forward to more. Until then.

So far,all I have is a riddle inscribed on the key, and part of the riddle points to Francis Scott Key and the national anthem. I really havent even written the riddle yet! Please help! Also, you have Riley's character perfect, but acknowlage that there is, for some unknown reason, a tension between Ian and Riley. I can tell from how many times Ian pointed a gun at him that he doesn't like Riley.(but I can't come up with ANY reason to hate Riley. He's so cute!) Please continue! I have no idea how I'm going to top this story! It will be a welcome challenge, though!

But why is everyone using the "Ian escapes from jail" plot? I try to make my stories very unique, but now I realize taht this may not be possible with National Treasure. I'm about to post my story, so please read! It explores the question "What if the treasure Ben found was only half of the real thing?" I introduce Alexis Lowell, a college senior at George Washington University. She has this necklace with a key on it... a very OLD key. Legend says that it is the key to a long lost treasure. (Sound familair? Yes? Well, here's where it gets different!) No one in her family belives the legend is true. Even she has never considered the possibilities. Then, she meets Riley. He asks her about the key. Naturally, Riley tells Ben about it, and he takes a particular interest in the story. Ian escapes from jail and apparently knows about the legend too. So, fearing for Alexis's safety, Ben invites her to come stay with him and Riley until they can asess the real threat to her. There's a clue on the key, they don't know it; Ben has a surprise for Abigail; Alexis and Riley have really hit it off; Ian's out for revenge; and Riley's days may be numbered...sounds like one heck of an adventure! Oh, and if they find a treasure in your story, don't forget the promise Ben made to Riley!
