You are amazing and do amazing things and i've learned a lot about myself and comic book characters. the turbulance was too much at times but i did it! Cos if you do I can come and visit your gallery. ;) Anyhow, onto the story. I always like these little one-shots that are heavily character-based, where it's nothing more than a battle of the wits. It's a good combination of passion, angst and humour, because we know that those two would tie in a witty comeback contest. Heh. I thought some of it didn't flow as well as it could have, but having said that, you had some beautiful ideas and allusions in there, and some lovely phrases, for instance, "Mais, maybe it’s better to hurt dan not to feel,". How true that is. I guess what I liked about this is the fact that I'm a person who wears many masks as well, and I can sympathise where these characters are coming from. In fact, I guess that's why I was always attracted to the characters in the first place - the Cajun who pretends to be someone else in order to hide from the truth of what he is; the Southern Belle who's absorbed so many people wearing masks is the only way to protect herself. It's an interesting part of their personalities to pick up on, and certainly a worthy one. Oy, now I get an inkling of why I'm so obsessed with these two! Anyways, I'll stop analyzing before I end up ranting. Thanks for the little bit of insight into my fave couple, it was well worth the read! ~Ludi x

I originally intended to submit you a review of thanks - since you dont share an e-mail address. However... I liked the scene a lot. All I can really say about it was that it made me want to write Gambit again. And really - I can think of no higher compliment. Good writing does that to me. It was obvious that you had a very clear vision of the scene you were creating - and that translated well. Thanks for sharing. -Lucas
