Reviews for A Symbol, Perhaps
Miss Mustang 8/8/12 . chapter 1
I don't know what to say. This fic has left me speechless. It's so beautiful.
Thank you for writing this.
Joysweeper 2/1/12 . chapter 1
Aww...

This reminds me of a scene from the first Fate of the Jedi book, though that was obviously written after this.

I really like it. Poor Ben. Poor Luke.

It seems that the circle is about to repeat itself
donahermurphy 6/7/10 . chapter 1
huh. Some dark themes in here- and then, just as it swings back to family goodness and togetherness, Luke stares at "the stilled face of Obi-Wan Kenobi" and it ends on kind of a creepy note. Cool.

Not sure if it was intentional, or what emotions you were trying to evoke, but I liked it. Obi-Wan is... well, his life is just really really tragic, and staring at his face after having a talk about denying the Dark Side is a little foreboding. (Because seriously, what did denying the Dark Side ever get Obi-Wan?)

Love all your work on , and I've just found this one here. I love the simplicity and ease of Luke and Ben's conversation and the flow of the story. A wonderful vignette.

Very good points made. I wonder what a conversation would be like between Ben Skywalker and the masters on the Jedi Council of old...
DanaeMariSkywalker 5/23/07 . chapter 1
This is an awesome story! I love stories about Luke and Ben. Good Job! :-D
River Eagle 1/1/06 . chapter 1
Man...

I'm at a loss for words...

what can I say in the face of a great story, and author?
Shadow131 7/22/05 . chapter 1
That was really deep, and very powerful. It was disturbing in a good sense. Not like scary, like waking someone up and making them think. Stirring up the waters of the mind.
namjai 6/12/05 . chapter 1
Thought-provoking. And the last line was wonderful. It somehow made me feel both comforted and unsettled. Comforted simply by Obi-Wan's presence, even in memory; unsettled by this image of him caught in that moment in time, on a threshold with Anakin, a threshold you hope Luke is not at with Ben.
Jena 6/10/05 . chapter 1
Hoo, man. That's good, powerful stuff. It reminds me of a quote I read somewhere once (maybe in a fanfic) about how Luke must have to daily deal with the fact that he IS powereful and CAN do a lot of things, but then he must also remember that he shouldn't always DO them. The same was true for Anakin, and as it seems with this story, Ben.

"The Force is strong in my family," as Luke once said...and what if that isn't always a GOOD thing?

Great job! I always love your work!
Lissa Strawberry 6/8/05 . chapter 1
good one, oba! another beauty! this one had me shouting with happiness over its sheer wonderfulness...so much so that my dad had to come upstairs and ask me what the heck was going on...:)
fernverne 6/6/05 . chapter 1
Oh, intense. Like somebody else said, I didn't expect it to be so good! But then, my opinion of fanfic is generally low...so I was pleasantly surprised. I especially loved Ben saying, "It's not fair." Three generations of whiners, haha.
stocktonwood 5/31/05 . chapter 1
great job, a really interesting take on the what ifs, and luke and ben's discussions on the dark side were incredible. well done.
Audreidi 5/29/05 . chapter 1
Aha...I had my suspicions that I wasn't the only one who thought that perhaps Anakin had been meant to balance the Force by first turning dark, because if he hadn't, he never would have been there to kill the Emperor... I could babble on. (grins) But I very much enjoyed this later perspective of things, and its relevance in Ben's life as well. Very good!
