Maloire 9/19/03 . chapter 2hm...a very interesting path you've set this alternative story on. Nothing against your style of writing (I like Pupu's Saga, although I've yet to finish reading and reviewing :D), but personally I feel this fic got off on the wrong foot. Dont get me wrong, I love how you decided to take the task to give it a twist! Very interesting/intriguing! It's just the whole situation seems unprobable, and hey, that's my personal opinion. It just doesn't seem right. And, I know you didn't start the fic out so it's not your 'fault', heheh I'm not blaming anyone... there's no blame needed, (yes yes.. I'm using the fic's words.. whatever! heh!) But really, somethings were unsettling. Characters were like mixing flats with sharps (musically, you know?). Example, I didn't consider Raine to be such a..wimp? I dunno, perhaps I've become biased to her from reading Arafel's "Storm Front" (It's a really awesome story, have you read it?) But, on a whole, without my biased/optimistic opinion, I'd enjoyed it! Yeah...ok, change the word 'enjoy', cuz it was kind of angsty? The story itself, was quite a good deviation from Arian's original. Both, in fact, were good! :D
Here's something to check...
she probably wasn't [to] reluctant to leave him

Raine Ishida 4/3/01 . chapter 1As usual, Jer, the writing was beautiful. I guess I should read Arian's story, shouldn't I? I have no idea what's going on. But nevertheless, I loved this. :) I loved the part where Irvine was..well *hitting* on Raine. Ya know? :) Good job Jer, like always. |
