Mewling (me again) 2005-11-18 ch 1, anon.	abuseSince I've recovered from reading this last time... I had to read this a few times till the entirety of it hit me, and I could give proper feedback. It's incredably good. Firstly, the weaving of Sakura giving him the memories through genjutsu in every part of the day; I have a weak spot for fractured stories, and each part was perfect on its own, and flawlessly connected. Reading the review below, I'm surprised it could be read to be OroSasu or KabuSasu by some. Or even the sexual element, which was barely there. What I love about your style is its raw morbidity; the way you describe things without hyperbole that makes them so _real_, and I can see a self-hating Sasuke flitting about like a moth in a dirty apartment making bruises under his skin and seeking empty comfort in his past. And that ending...

I just don't quite understand what's going on...I thought you were describing Sasuke's weekends vs. weekdays, and saying how he sleeps with either Kabuto or Orochimaru-- but then I thought that you didn't mean for me to think KabuSasu/OroSasu. I know you described several of Sasuke's meals. The confusing parts are with Naruto and Sakura. In "Lauds" for example, I don't know if Sasuke was actually having sex /with/ Naruto, or was imagining he was having sex with Naruto (while having sex with Kabuto or Orochimaru? There I go again, jumping to KabuSasu/OroSasu...) I know that Sasuke is pretty messed up. He gets sick/throws up and acts pretty insane in "Vespers" and "Compline." I'm extremely uncertain about Sakura's role in "Compline." Is she even thre, what is she doing? And /where/ are they? What do all of the headings for the sections mean, anyways? Don't get me wrong, I really love this. It's got an intriguing story, and you do a great job at showing how much Sasuke is fraying at the edges. Very, very nice. I like all of the details in his life; what he eats for lunch, how he spends his weekends (which, btw, I originally thought were the specified days for Orochimaru/ and or/ Kabuto to come and have sex with Sasuke-the-**...damn my mind's in the gutter...) watching the sun, and I adore the little section about Sasuke wishing to be Anybody But Me. Just wonderful. Tragic and sad in its own way (poor Sasuke!), but don't we all do that? Okay, now that I read the rating for "lots of implications" I have to wonder...maybe I /was/ supposed to think [some of the] OroSasu/KabuSasu thoughts. Gack. Or maybe just the bit with Naruto in "Lauds." I dunno. All in all, a provocative piece that makes you think. At the very least you've left us thinking "what happened?" which makes me, at least, wonder what Sasuke's doing at the Sound village. Nice job. Good character portrait.
Wistful-Eyes 2005-09-25 ch 1,	abuseI like this (I really really do)... but I wish I knew what was going on! @_@!! It's wonderfully written and if I was a little bit smarter I'd understand it. What I THINK what happened is that Sasuke killed Sakura, and then Naruto got him. Feel free to email and clarify me? 8D;; Anyway, I think it's a great one-shot.

Chevira Lowe 2005-06-18 ch 1,	abuse... Uh. Okay, first thing's first. XD; I read this fic and every new sentence or paragraph had me going 'Ew!' or 'Ow!' or 'What the hell?'. Several times I wanted to run away from it because it was just so oppressive in its depression. Which is a remarkable, amazing, astounding authorial trait for which you deserve cookies and all the prettyboy ** your heart desires. The writing was beautiful, animalistic, intense and so very human. The entire story was just. Guh! Gave me shivers and was generally so creepy that I wasn't sure if my head was screwed on right. Sasuke's characterization especially intrigued me, because it's like he's quietly insane, and then not so quietly insane, and then bam! Fic over. Wah. 'He always lives and fights, runs, leaves corpses behind like a morbid skin he’s just slithered out of. ' That line was absolutely ace. Thanks for the great read~
