Wow. This is one of the best Pretender stories I've read so far. You talents and imagination is amazing. I've never liked Lyle much, but your story had changed my view on him. I'm no of to read the sequel :D
I found this today and finished it in one sitting. I LOVED it. The plot twists, the characterizations, the snarking, the suspense between chapters. GREAT JOB. Normally I am not big on originial characters because they tend to not be that filled out in terms or character and personality. but Mia is great. And I am just adoring your Lyle. Just little hints of redemability surrounded by the shadows. LOVED it.
It took me two weeks, but i'm finally done reading this story. And, I'll admit, when i first started reading I wasn't for sure i would like it, but soon, before i knew it, i was drawn into this story, and i have to say i wasn't disappointed in the least.
Oh, where to begin, well, first let me congratulate you on how you wrote Lyle. Your interpretation of him has to be one of the best that i've ever read. Loved how you woven 'the spider and the fly' with the last part of this chapter. Still gives me chills.
As for Jarod and Miss Parker, I have no complaints on their storyline either. I am a J/MP shipper, and i was still hoping they would come together in the end, yet how you wrote their characters made since in their situation.
Mia, i thought i wouldn't like, but she's another one that worked in this story.
Overall, the story was excellent and very, very well written. I don't know how you came up with the idea for this story, but it was great. Reading the part about Puccini getting skilled alive was another part that gave me chills. For some reason, i thought this would be Raines, but was pleasantly surprised it wasn't. So, congrats on an awesome story. Now, i'm going to go read your sequel, which i'm sure will be as excellent as this story was. Well, as the old adage goes, "Never judge a book by its cover."

A well crafted story, a well written story. Your characters and their relationships were done with grace and seemed very much in tune with what we have come to know of them.
I would like to read more from you.

Finished. I really feel sorry for Lyle. Why does he try so hard to stay the way the Centre wanted him to be? Until now I considered him as reckless but now I believe him to be fearsome of his own feelings. But he wanted to free Amelia. Sorry that you lost your reviews. I wait for your sequel hopefully soon.
I have truly enjoyed your story from chapter one. The idea was very unique and your interpretetion of the characters was flawless. Looking forward to reading the sequel.
Wonderful Job!

wow it's good ! I can't wait for read "The World Is Not Enough: Ashes of Eden"
Let's see, I've used many adjectives in my review of this story - umm - great, terrific, fabulous, awesome, inspired, exciting - I'm sure there were more and my opinion has not changed! Also, as I've mentioned (one or two times) before - the Mia/Lyle dynamic is my favorite but the more you write, the more I find myself hoping J and MP get their act together. Of course, I'm not going to be disappointed if they don't, either ;-) Go figure.
Anyway, I'm sorry your story got deleted and, with it, all the reviews. This has got to be one of the best, most original tP fics, I've read in a long time. Every chapter leaves the reader wanting for more. Keep it up!

I was wondering what happened to your story. I am waiting for the final chapter as I've already read your story and loved it. Keep up the good work.
