It's so cute how Jiriaya treats Kakashi! It's kind of like a Naruto and Sasuke type of relationship thing. I can just imagine Kakashi as a little kid fighting with Jiraiya! That's so adorable! XD

This fic was just simply fantastic. It's so Jiraiya. And Kakashi. The first three sections was as if you wrote a window into their actual canon life. The last, ah...

Heh, poor Kakashi's exposure to the 'Waterfall' (beet-red face hahaha), together with such quirky Jiraya-like reasoning is probably my favourite bit, together with this line "Glaring matches and fights would ensue until Kakashi was tied to a tree or sent flailing down a cliff, depending on Jiraiya's mood." (which set me off laughing out loud)

Another great characterization was the encounter after Kakashi's first kill. Their actions belying the callous, icy words. Plus Yondaime at the end was so fitting.

I noticed that you didn't explicitly mention this being a one-shot, so there's some hope for another insightful chapter maybe? Would love for there to be more!

...That was really sad... but so good. Jiraiya seemed really in character, and his comment about Tsunade was deffinently the best example of it. And I liked his thoughts about writing his book.

You really hit the spot with perfect narration and pacing. Jiraya-Kakashi interaction never fails to fascinate me, and your story really stands out. I especially adore the moment where Kakashi crawled into Jiraiya's lap, and the last 3 paragraphs of Jiraiya's mixed feelings about how Kakashi has closed off from him. Spot on. Well done!!

Woww... *speechless* I like the idea of Kakashi and Jiraiya messing about like idiots. And I liked the line about Yondaime shoving a rasengan down his throat. ^^ All in all, very well written!

Beautiful, beautiful! This was the kind of story I could never find - one that integrates Kakashi, Yondaime and Jiraiya together in such a breathtaking portrayal of true-to-life characterization! Wonderfully done - please write more stories like these!

Wow, this is such an unique experince for me, to read a piece such as this. I can just see it, all the arguments and such and I felt so sorry for Kakashi. He is a character that I usually disregard because, to me anyway, he comes across like such a cold, arrogant, know-it-all. But then again, he has his moments in the series. What this piece emphasis is a climpse of what Kakashi's world was like and Jiraiya, in a way was a sort of anchor. I awlays like reading stories that has these two readers interacting, because they share more in common than most characters.
