Having already read this on BBCS I'd just like to take the opportunity to say, once again, that this is a cracking story. A great cast of varied and interesting characters, awesome action scenes and enough plot twists to keep the grey matter working.

Civil War isn't. You're right on with that.

You don't hit anything with one pistol in each hand except by sheer luck. And most of the time you have to leave cover to do it. and she was standing. Even if she did waste four out six assailants one of the last two would have kept his cool and just wasted her.

I like the way you detail handguns in the tale.

Just as an aside: every army in the world trains their infantry to attack ejecting tank crew after their tank has been hit or disabled because you don't want tank crew on the loose causing mayhem.

hey great story... now keeping in mind i've never really played the game but i got to thinking... yes its a scary thought, you story seems to indicate that infantry really suck up against mechs granted an 80 kilo man up againts a 80 ton stompy killing machine will lose in a stand up fight in a open feild but what about in a jungle/forest or city scape where tanks and the like fear to tread alone with no infantry sapport.

an idear that poped into my head was that you have said mech stomping along through city/bush/canyion or hills and a elite squad equiped with fump jets jump up on the mech and magnetize ther feet and hand to grab onto it and put shape charges on vital arias like cocpit and joints not to "kill" but to damage enough to make surrender or reteat and take up time and resourse to fix... this would have to be a really crazely insane outfit with a short life expectancy..keep up the awsome work for a fan with no life.

This is easily one of my favorite Mechwarrior merc fanfics please do update more.
