 Phantom-Koinu 2007-11-05 . chapter 1Finally! A Cao Cao friendly romance fic!
This was a wonderful read. Thank you so much! |
Salmon 2007-02-25 . chapter 1Do I dare call a Cao Cao fic "sweet", and get away unflamed? LOL Seriously, I really liked your story! The way you portray Cao Cao and Lady Bian's relationship is both realistic and lovely. Ah! And poor Cao Pi! I couldn't help but laugh at his getting picked on by the older generals. Very well done! |
little red lotus 2006-08-13 . chapter 1Beautiful. It's nice to read this kind of portrayal of Cao Cao. I'm faving this one. |
XDsLady 2006-01-03 . chapter 1AW poor Cao Pi ! ^-^ He sounds so cute. I think you portrayed the characters really good...they seemed real. I luv Cao Cao and I really want DW6 to have Lady Bian as a playable character so bad ! I luved this story ! It's one of my favorites now ^.~ |
Z Star 2005-06-12 . chapter 1 O.O Wow, i've never thought i'd see Cao Cao's soft side in a fic before. Maybe he's not such a bad guy after all...
^__^ And i guess that's thanks to Lady Bian she managed to tame the Hero of Chaos. Good work, you should write more stories about Cao Cao, will there be a sequel to this? |
Reincarnated Cao Pi 2005-06-07 . chapter 1 Wow, this story really impressed me. It's one of the few stories I've seen that combines both the real history and Dynasty Warrior's takes on the characters so well. Plus any thing that's well written about Wei and isn't biased to Shu is always something interesting to read. |
Indigo Siren 2005-06-07 . chapter 1That was simply wonderful. I think this catagory was in need of a Pro-Cao Cao story. Not that I'm the biggest fan of him, but heck, I just like seeing stories that aren't always about the same things.
And Lady Bian was just marvelous. The dotting wife and loving mother - I felt she had a very figure-head like status. She was some who deserved to be respected. Cao Cao was lucky to have her. And their interaction was beautiful. It wasn't an evil cackling moment of wickedness like most would come to expect, it was soft and enchanting, in its own way.
Cao Pi, trying to be something great... he just tries too hard, but you've got to start somewhere I suppose. Though, changing isn't the easiest thing to do.
I loved how you made all the other named generals as well. Just as you would expect. And I found Xiahou Yuan actually likable. I've seen your other stories and you make him and characters like Zhang Liao and Xiahou Dun very interesting and likable. I commend you.
Anyway, I'll finish here before the review becomes too long - Fantastic read, just so compelling. Great work! |
Adamantina 2005-06-06 . chapter 1Wow, a T-rated story from Candi! Dunno if I should be proud you managed to beat away the Muses of Risque for this one, or be disappointed that mah fave smut queen decided to write a non-blush-and-cold-shower-inducing ficlet! ~_^
Seriously though, this is a great story (I especially loved the title, and I agree--just because Cao Cao's not one of the DW bishies doesn't mean he doesn't deserve some lovin' every now and then!)
I like the way you wrote Cao Cao's relationship with Lady Bian (poor woman, needs a name already!) outside of the Bronze Bird Tower, which only makes the foreshadowing of Cao Cao's eventual death that much sadder and more poignant.
Cao Pi's intrusion is pretty funny, in typical Cao Pi fashion. Poor guy, even though he's got the hot new villain look down pat, he still acts like the spoiled little rich brat we all love to pick on! |
zem-the-mattress 2005-06-06 . chapter 1Aw, Cao Cao isn't that bad after all, eh? I liked this new aspect of the heart-less ruler, and the whole "I really DO have emotions" thing was cool too. Er...and you can update the Legacy of the Lunar Spear anyday... |
