that was seriously good stuff, you managed to get the emotional,sad stuff out of the characters real well..
i can't say much more though since i have played shadow hearts, hence i don't know the characters well enough..but from a laymans view point, i can see a real good fanfic:)

...I think I saw a mistake in this chapter.
I believe that 'Spreekt u engels' is Dutch, not German, I know this because Dutch is my language.
although when karin says I love you to yuri in a later chapter you are right that is german but this isn't.
I'm just telling you this to help you.
By the way, I love your story ^_^ so keep up the good work.

look at Ellehammer's 1912 model. It didn't get much better for a long time. Also, a few hours... time, distance and need for fuel that could not be gotten... I hate to say it, but total suspension of disbelief just flew out the door.

Alice's attempt to communicate... Sprechen Sie Englisch? here's a good and free language help site: they have a translation box for easy sentences. Unless you were going for really butchered Dutch? XD

I admit shock and confusion over Alice's ready use of the pistol. It didn't seem to suit her personality to aim for head or heart. Now I understand this is a bit ooc and AU, I'm not complaining, I'm merely stating it was jarring. I'll get back with you on whether or not it gets any better. :)

You're the 3rd person I've seen who has Alice with regrets or questions on the choices they made. Albert and his god, vs Yuri and Alice's choices of life.

Little items I noticed this time:
The puppy in Fengtian turned out to be Dehuai, not Kevin. And Alice's "Arc" magic was group healing; I don't believe she could use it on an enemy. "Advent" was her final attack magic. Isle St. Margurite, but that's a common mistake.

Okay, meat and potatoes time: well written piece. I really liked how you brought out the soul mates theme and worked it in this chapter. The bit with shopping and getting Alice's things first, that was classy. And I like that this is piece is opening up as a search for Yuri kind of drama. It could have gone just about any direction, but in the search for Yuri you can either go canon, or AU and not lose a beat.

Moving along now aren't we? You're doing a lot of fact and backgrounding here through Alice's memories. It's not too bad, but I'd watch that. Having the fan-fiction version of the walking encyclopedia is rarely a good thing.

Otherwise a good chapter. So onward to #3.

Yeah, I've kinda noticed the similarities between FFX/X-2 and Shadow Hearts 1/2, though not the fact that there was a trade of lives in both.

I'm not so sure Yuna would have chosen Tidus to be the Final Aeon. I think she would have wanted him to enjoy the Calm that her sacrifice would bring. But, that's not entirely relevant...

Also, both original games take place in times when the world is at peace politically. Sequels both have wars with political motivations. La la la...there's something else nagging at me but I just can't name it.

Anyways, the parallelism between the games and their sequels is probably why I prefer Shadow Hearts to Final Fantasy X. I loved both of the original games. When it came time for sequels though, well, for me Covenant was a terrific game while X-2 was only okay.
