| bwayphantomrose 2008-06-18 ch 9, | abuseThis is one of my new favorite stories. I am so sad that he died, but I understand that he had to and that helped shape the story. Your writing style is blaringly similar to Kay's which helped me read the characters in-character-- nice to see a believable Erik and Christine. You did make me cry, however, and I normally hate stories that deal with Erik's death. Yet, this is my favorite. You really deserve an award, don't you? So, all in all, this was an amazing story, completely true to the novel, heart-breaking, and a good way to incorporate Kay's ending into yours. I'm glad she didn't marry Raoul; Although I'm sure Erik would have hated the thought of her being alone, he didn't stop to think that his son would be taking care of her... Listen to me babble on. I think this ending is better than Kay's. I look forward to your other work. THIS IS INCREDIBLE. |

| Adi Sagestar 2007-11-25 ch 9, | abuseThis is the way it's /supposed/ to be, no? And there's still the tragedy... - Adi =^.".^= |
| . 2007-08-27 ch 9, anon. | abuseThis was truly beautiful. |
| FreshInk 2007-07-03 ch 9, | abuseI have read this story word for word, delighting in every single sentence and phrase. This, and I am not saying this merely for flattery, has been a stunning narrative. Your composition of the story is beautiful and satisfying, and, my dear, I must give you a hearty kudos for such a tragically wonderful story! |
| A.C.Meadows 2007-06-05 ch 3, | abuseJust found your story and had to tell you I love this line "But the dress was white, and I was feeling particularly black." |
| HughloverX 2007-06-04 ch 9, | abuse*sniffle* That was...so good. So sad. Erik shouldn't ever die. You stayed in character very well, especially with Christine while you developed their characters. Always love Nadir in any story. Still wish you would have put in a bit of their bantering, but I can overlook that. Great story. Lovely |
| Silverblue60 2007-05-21 ch 1, | abuseBeautiful and well done. This story touched me on many levels. Thank you for sharing. Silver |
| Aliquis 2007-05-07 ch 8, | abuseOk, you know what? Damn. I wasn't expecting to get depressed, although maybe I just blatantly sought it out after reading your summary, but damn. Wow, ok, so that was a great idea first off. To take off from such a beautiful rendition of Erik for his last six months was fantastic. And it felt realistic. I really enjoyed it. Oh, and that letter he wrote her after their first wedding night? BROKE MY HEART. This was my face: @_@ and then ;_; |
| phantom-jedi1 2007-02-19 ch 9, | abuseI have but one word for you: Beautiful. phantom_jedi |
| Sarah Crawford 2006-12-09 ch 9, | abuseThis whole story was very beautiful, especially the last chapters. I love the way you wrote Charles' point of view. Two of my favorite quotes from this final epilogue are, "Oh, my love, if you could see him now! You and I combined forever, you genius never to be erased. Winter is not such a terrible season after all, for it always ends in spring, and even in the coldest and darkest of places, there is always a little light." and "I remember times when we would sit together at the piano and I would play. I was born with a deep affinity for music, which I am told came from my father. When I played, it became everything to me, and I was overwhelmed by the sheer sublimity of it. Most of the time, she would sit in the room with me as I played and I tried hard not to notice the tears that would fall silently down her face, and I felt like an unwelcome intruder to some sacred place not meant for my knowledge." Those left me in awe. I certainly hope you have written, or will write some more Phantom fan fictions. This one is one of the loveliest pieces I've read. The ending is sorrowful and still satisfying, just like Kay. Wonderful job on this one. It's one of my favorites. |
