Can that really happen with appendicitis?

The title describes the story perfectly and I can see Charlie ignoring his illness like this. Your dedication was very sweet.

I, in all my wisdom, have decided you should write more Num3ers fanfiction! I love those Don/Charlie moments! There is no such thing as "an appendicitis". It is actually called "Appendicitis", which is an inflammation of the appendix and if it bursts, you have to have it taken out or you could die within hours.

I liked the story. I knew that it was apendicitis early on because my daugfhter's best friend had a ruptured appendix the week before last.

With her it was almost the same as Charlie in your story. Hers ruptured on Friday but she wasn't taken to the hospital until Monday.

She was in for a week just like your character but from there the story you wrote diverges from the experience that Madeleine has had and is still going through.

She will not have surgery for at least another two weeks. She went septic because of the ruptur and had to be on several antibiotics as well as large amounts of potassium. They can not operate when someone has that kind of infection. It will lead to peritionitis. Once her infection is completely cleared (roughly 4 weeks from the ruptur) they will operate to remove the ruptured appendix.

I still liked your story. The only reason I noticed this, is that we are all still hoping for the best for Madeleine. It has been a rough road for her. Oh and by the way, her mom thought that she had the flu! Her pediatrician (?sp) didn't pick up on the ruptur Monday morning when he saw her either.

i love this story...how about you just continue on with it! or a sequal...:) PLEASE?
