Interesting twist...good work indeed! :)

I almost didn't click on this because it was rated M. Without any explicit violence it seems that the rating might arguably be more of a T than an M. Of course, the themes are very dark, and to your credit, well implemented. Dark Kaiba bros fics are rare, and ones this good near impossible to find. Although, I'd very much like to know just how Kaiba came to anticipate his "suicide."

And it does seem as though clever Kaiba would be one step ahead of his brother, dark and meticulous to the last second. And the love just pours through the darkness in little pieces- you really create a strange feeling with this fic.

And yep, the title is good!

this was so lovely and so sad! I remember the conversation, and love the result. You can really feel how much Mokuba loves Kaiba in this, how he's sacrificing his desire to have his brother to release him, instead... because Mokuba is the only one who can release Kaiba from his promise. And I like how he's determined to match his brother's footsteps - and how he realizes at the end, that Kaiba knew all along.
