Wow. That was really not nice. Your ability to convey emotions - especially the painful ones - is horrendously good. I haven't gotten that emotionally into a story in a long time. Of course, it probably was intensified by my sitting here and reading the entire thing almost straight through in one afternoon. There was no real respite along the way.

However, I love the fact that you managed to write something that real, that touching, and keep both boys straight. I enjoy stories surrounding a relationship between two men that goes every bit as deep as a marriage (or deeper) but without the romance. There's something so very inspiring about men like these, and something so very humbling about a relationship like that. Sadly, there aren't very many stories out there that accurately portray that while also being well-written and enjoyable. Yours has just leapt to the top of my very short list.

*sniffle* Thank you for the time, effort, and dedication that you put into this - and the generous sharing you've done with all of us. :)

Aww! What can one say about such a wonderfully woven story, all pieces tied together...and heart in every chapter.

That is what I love about this story, it's heart. IT's emotion, the way it can bring a person to easily smile and to feel their own heart warm.

Your talents amaze me, and I look forward to your future stories.

Thank you so much for sharing your heart, I loved this story. Again many thanks.

Kreek, Loved the story and the way you wrote. The part Starsky saying (you're kinda hard to forget blinz. Starsky hitting the vending machine, Dobey telling Starsk to keep the furniture intact. Delilah telling Starsky the soul know's you're here, can't live without (me and thee). Delilah at the end talking to her late husband. I'm glad she was there , she Did help Starsk. Thanks so much for sharing a very good story. Ann

Hi Kreek!

Well, all I can say is WHAT A STORY! Parts of it were still hard to read but you wove such a good story. From beginning to end you took your time to develop the story, then the horror of "Hutch's" breaking, sprinkled with "Starsky's" memories. I really loved that it took some time to get "Hutch" to "trust" "Starsky" again...that he was there ... REALLY! I felt bad for "Starsky's" wife... and that feeling of being torn...on the one hand "Starsky" remembers and he and "Hutch" are together, yet here the woman that he loved...that he MARRIED is dead. What a hard thing!

Glad I read it in it's entirety from beginning to end. It was a wonderful piece of work!

Type to you later! God Bless!

In life we so often experience losses that never quite heal, that leave us to struggle through our future days with strangely crippled souls. I think that is why we crave completion, closure, and satisfaction in the movies we watch and the stories we read. We want our fictional friends to emerge from conflict whole, to triumph where we may only be able to survive.

Kreek, your final chapters beautifully meet this desire in the reader while rounding out your storyline and fulfilling its potential. Thank you for a fic that kept me poised and waiting for weeks and for an ending that did not disappoint.

Kreek - You did it! You finally finished this story! Such an anguished piece to read; I checked DAILY for your updates. It hurt to read it - Karl was SUCH a rotten guy, but you got in to his head like he got in to Hutch's. And it all rang so true -- the bond between S & H could never really disappear. At the end, when you re-described the moment when the drug kicked in and the bond snapped -- wow - hurt, hurt, hurt again. As much as I love that the story's finished, I'm almost sorry that there won't be more chapters to look forward to. Definitely it's a saved story for me - Thanks so much.

>>And with a gentle nudge, Starsky steered both him and his partner away from the graveyard, and back into life.

Very awesome ending. I think the breakdown scene was beautiful, and bless Starsky's heart for holding onto the hope that Hutch would once again be normal. Very clever scene with Hutch visiting Karl, I love the dialogue there.
My only complaint is that I didn't get to see Starsky reunite with the Torino! *sigh* Oh well, it wouldn't have fit in with the story, I supose.
Excellent job, I hope to see lots more from you soon!

Aw, that was a satisfying end! Thank you - I really enjoyed reading this story. You came up with an original take on the whole "bond" between the guys, and the last bit with Delilah tied things up very nicely.

*Sniff* *Sigh*

I am so sad this story has ended... It is the very best story out here (in my humble opinion)

Kreek, you have grown as a writer and this story is your 'coming of age' story... *Sniff* I am so happy for you.

Okay, I LOVE this story... it has everything.
Action, romance, saddness, drama, H/C everything...

I think my favorite line is:
...Suddenly he heard determined footsteps. For a second he was afraid that Hutch was about to pick him up to throw him roughly out of the house. He flinched, trying to move away from his partner. But then warm arms wrapped themselves around him, and a body pulled the brunet into a trembling embrace.

The touch was electrifying. ...

Electrifying... Brilliant... Wonderful...

Thank you for sharing this great story with us!

This story is just so great and intense! You know I loved every chappie up until now, and it always gets even better. The impact remembering has on Starsky is just greatly written!
