Okay, so I know you wrote this what? Four years ago, but I'm glad I stumbled on it. The story is very intriguing and there are many other implied stories within it like how Carth and Canderous overcame their differences. The pacing was excellent and the description was enough that it set a definite tone, but wasn't so much that it was distracting. The voices and dialogue were very well done and in-character. So often, you can't hear the dialog -- that it doesn't actually sound like someone speaking, you know? I loved too how you kept the story canon for all intents and purposes but twisted our assumptions and unknowns to make it really into something unique. It's the type of writing that seems so easy, but takes so much time to finally attain and that was another great thing about this story -- how simple and straight-forward it was but it held so much.

Either way, I was so disappointed to find that this was only a one-shot. It had amazing potential! I guess I have to look around your stories a bit more.

Excellent duo scene here. I like the idea that feelings and people change over time, like you did with Canderous.
