Interesting. I liked the depth of both characters... but I felt like the story was a little jumpy and maybe a not quite linear. Great ending tho - I liked the message & Kakashi's final thoughts.

Wow. I can really see this. There's a reason he stands at that memorial so much, and no matter what, I still think the reason isn't just that he's drowning in angst, because he seems to know better than that. You've made it make sense.

This is a lovely, insightful and painful piece of writing. I found myself swal;lowing around the knot in my throat, my eyes blurring with stinging tears reading it, and I can't pinpoint exactly why. Because for all it's sadness, it is an uplifting piece. There are no perfect endings, but there are encouraging ones.

I enjoyed this. I like how you use the idea that no matter how powerful someone is, there are some things you just can't control. Very nicely done.

damn, that was beautiful. i just wished rin (or rather, her death?) was mentioned more than just at the end. obito seemed to have outshone her but then again, that is how the anime/manga have it also. and as it stands, this fic is ultimately about kakashi and yondaime so i guess i'm just being greedy. =P for some reason yondaime normally annoys me but he comes off so...warm here. but not in a completely unrealistic way either as i guess he's normally portrayed. i dunno. i can't explain it. but i think it was the scene where they're talking about obito and how yondaime ultimately chooses more people for his team that did it for me. =*)
