WOW. That is one HELL of a story. I'm so glad Joker FINALLY got what he deserved, and Gotham became truely safe. I mean, Batman can't be everywhere at once, right?
This is a cool memorial to him, having Arkham turned into a museum in his honor. You should really continue your writing, maybe even take up script writing for DC comics. I'm almost SURE that they'd be happy to have you. (and no I am NOT DC staff. for goodness sake, I'm 14!!)

The emotions in this were very well portrayed - fury, loss, pain, grief - nicely done! :)

PS - I wouldn't call it schmaltz. I'd go more for "fairytale". But that's just me.

This was really good. I didn't have many expectations when I started reading this, and I don't really read much Batman fanfic just the comics. I really enjoyed this and felt it could perhaps have a continuance, or even a prequel. Dick taking over the mantle of the Bat would be a fantastic story, like a year one all over again but with Dick coming to terms with Bruce's death.

Interesting, though I think I liked Final Showdown more. I kind of smiled at the thought of a 'Misses Selina Wayne'--Selina seems like a girl that would keep her last name. I don't know, maybe not when it comes to Bruce though.

'On the anniversary of Bruce Wayne’s death, the Joker was executed, charged with crimes against humanity itself.'

That was the most powerful line of the piece for me, because it twisted my stomach. You did a good job with that, because it got a strong reaction from me--even though if my reaction was disgust towards the idea of it. Seems like it would an ultimate slap in the face; but hey, the people of Gotham have long misjudged the Batman.

That's a nice short story with (for once with Batman involved) a relatively happy ending (apart from for Bruce). It is good the cycle of the Batman is finished and wrapped up quite nicely.
