It's not a bad story, given that very few write fanfics about flight sims. I think it's possible though, for you to slow down the pace a little and give each mission/chapter a little bit more "meat".

PS: The Lavi was never produced because of costs. It was cancelled in 1987. Key technologies (radar, avionics and airframe) of the aircraft is now found in the Chinese J-10 fighter.
