It's been a while since I've checked in on this story. Two new chapters added and I gotta say I still love it. Wish you'd update a little bit faster though. Two and a half years is an awfully long time to be kept waiting.

I'm always delighted to see an update to this story. It is such an original and well written tale. This chapter was particularly good, I'll confess to being a rather enthusiastic rayne fan so seeing them finally get together was such a treat. You write them both so well, still very much IC but with different experiences forming different bonds, simply wonderful. The cliffy was groan worthy, but I will endeavor to wait quietly until you can post again. I understand very well how much life can intrude on a writers time. Speaking of which... I should go try to get something done with my own story.

I just have to say once again that this was a wonderful new chapter. Hope life and inspiration help speed the next one your readers way.

Words cannot express how beautiful it is when you write River and Jayne together. I loved their conversation and Jayne's idea of a safe word for River, it's a nice switch from canon and it works really well in your story.
