How you manage to consistently put out eye-popping phanphics is quite beyond me! The earnest style of this piece is so true to that of the time, and even now holds the same confused ring of a lovestruck teenager. I'm sure you've figured out by now that Christine is not my... er... FAVORITE character, but Leroux Christine is quite different from ALW's... a bit more likeable, somehow. I can't quite put into words what it is about the Leroux version except to point to this phic and say "YES!" You've nailed it, as always. I bow to your writing skills, Mam'selle, as always.

Understatement of the year, dear Christine! Beautifully done. This part of the book always intrigued me, and I at first assumed it was Christine, although I've heard different theories as of late. Personally, this one's my favorite. :)
