Nice that now Kaoru and Kenshin are involved with one another in his heartless days. When does Aoshi come into the story! Because Aoshi should totally get the girl! Super ninja verses government assassin...I choose super ninja!

A very dark, mysterious prelude; definitely piqued my interest =) Seems like a lot of effort was put into this one chapter, and so far your story seems far from predictable. Keep it up ^^ In the meantime, I will eagerly await the arrival of the "official" chapter =)

fusuma, not shouji, for inside doors. shouji leads to the outside, the rice paper lighter to let in lighting. fusuma are made with thicker paper for privacy (not that it would do much on blocking noises).
