I have a love-hate relationship with Ita-Sasu stuff. I mostly love Itachi, and I mostly hate Sasuke. When combined with your flair for making children cute, it's almost touching, not to mention disturbing because it mixes in the General Dysfunctional Family Syndrome (parents arguing at night, faked smiles in the day etc).

There's some interesting insight in the last chapter on the two brothers' relationship; boiling revenge mixing into eternal chasing.

Wow. Very intense fic, the first and last chapters were my definite favorites. I liked the first because it was cute how Itachi was the decent older brother he used to be and Sasuke was the happy innocent kid.

And then in the last chapter where he's a little older and how you described how he feels. How he's totally shattered, it's so fitting for him. You did an amazing job at describing that and I loved this line: There was still a broken little boy trapped inside of him, wanting to cling to his older brother when the nightmares came.

So sad...

Very deep and emotional. Your story caused me to cry...a lot (the music I'm listening doesn't help either). Wonderful story and idea so keep on writting (can't wait to read more )
