I know you haven't updated this in forever, but I love it and I really really REALLY wanna read more :D

Stumbled across this fanfiction whilst searching for the quite rare beast sometimes known as "fanfiction in which Quirrell EXISTS somewhat", and was pleasantly suprised! Even more so, with a slightly "controversial" pairing as Quirrell/Lily- that just *worked* so well, often better than other pairings in other stories. The emotions are very good, and the characterisation is quite realistic and "human". Great stuff!

Judging by your last update, it doesn't look like you'll be concluding the story any time soon, but thanks for the sampler, I enjoyed reading it!

I was really pleased to see you had posted up another installment to this delightful fanfic and not to my surprise, I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the first part. I really can't help but like your Quirrell, he's so..cute! I especially enjoyed the conversation between him and Lily about what the Sorting hat told him, and I liked Lily's reaction to it. Please hurry up with the next chapter!

Another good one. I like how you're handling Lily's budding interest in Quirrell. It just seems very natural.

Pacing seemed a little jerky in some places, but I'm well aware of what you were going through in getting some of this out. ;] Happens to me with some chapters as well, so it's all good!

As for Lily's later love of James Potter, it's possible that he finally recognized his clumsiness (they are teens, after all), and adjusted his manner into something more pleasing, doing just as Lily told him, learning to be nice. The thing to remember is that the nicests ppl can turn into jerks as they get older, and vice versa. It would be interesting, however, to see how your version of Lily finally falling for James would happen.

This is a well written ,original story and you should be proud of it! cant wait to read more

I liked this! It was thoughtful, well written, and a true breath of fresh air. Your portrayl of Quirrell is very nice, and I enjoyed him in this fanfic the most of all, though the other characters are real and well done as well. Please continue, and soon! This fanfic has made my favorite stories list...even if you don't receive that many reviews, let that be motivation enough? Heh heh...but really, I look forward to reading the next installment which you MUST write.

My god! What an excellent story. I think you are right in thinking that yours is the only Lily/Quirrel pairing on the site...maybe even the internet. It just hasn't been done. And you pulled off the story really well. I can't wait to see how the rest of the story turns out.

So far, I haven't seen any errors, good for someone without any betas. Since you are so good at writing and all that, maybe you could read my stories and give me some advice? If you have time, of course. I don't have a beta either so you could point out some mistakes as well.

How unique! I like it alot! The only thing I don't like is the name "Quirinus" but really is just a personal preference.
