Reviews For: Six Things That Never Happened to Joren of Stone M

agreed- much better than k/j (gah?), nicely twisty slightly-creepy- but totally believable, esp. considering joren's self-righteous speech @ the trial saying pretty much what you've got him saying here, but decidedly cool piece- love the bit w/ owen- yeah i find it interesting joren rates so low yet he's the only villain- esp. next to alex, roger- who doesn't make it through the chamber- even when his friend-the-rapist does. gives one the impression he was doing worse behind the scenes or had a very bleak role in a future-to-come- or something. 'd love to see more of your take on joren-and-the-chamber... but anyway, again, cool, original and canon-compliant look at a character

*sob* Poor Joren. I think it would have been nice if you added in a little angst from Joren about the rejection. Angsty!Joren = love.

Joren so should have gone to law school - that way(1) he wouldn't have ended up dead in a stone closet,(2)wouldn't have to had creeped Wyldon out, (3) Yeah, that whole unfortunate scene where Lord Buchard breaks into Kel's rooms, and we witness the half-naked Raoul/Buri-ness, that wouldn't take place, (4)Kel could have continuing spite her whole life, and become a bitter old hag (yay! bitterhag!Kel), (5)his super cool argument - speech wouldn't be wasted, (6) He would been alive to personally ensure that strange similes (badly hung gate, anyone?) are put in their place.

Oh, and Owen could SO take him. It kinda takes the fun out of it when the job is done by a stone closet. Blah.

But yeah, much love for this fic

that's very good. you definitely managed to capture the twisted mind there, and the ending was inspired, although also remarkably creepy. poor weird joren.

Yay! Just yay! and Yay again.
This fic is just perfect - like Joren, in Joren's opinion.
The characterizations are awesome, although I'm not entirely convinced on the Owen. But I *like* him this way, so I don't really care.
I still love the badly hung gate bit - Wyldon is so uptight that Joren's attempts at trying to develop a personal relationship with him seem... nice? sweet? I don't know. Something. It's incredibly well done, though.
There's something very funny about a perfect Wyldon and a little twat Owen. See how Joren's mind skews everything.
And of course, the Ordeal is terrific as always.
Thanks!! Terrific Birthday gift, Imo, bad-guy obsession and all.
-Sally.
