RedBrunja 2007-07-04 ch 1,	abuseI love the way Jien thinks in this, and how hard the whole situation is on him. I really enjoy that thought that he had the idea for killing her before he actually did it, and that he hates that his body can give her what she wants.

The idea that his ultimate solution to the problem of his mother was one of rage as much as defense is a nice touch. Jien is often depicted as so kind and considerate that one wonders how he became the right-hand-man of a warlord's son. Your perspective here offers a plausible and wrenching avenue.
