Princess613 2009-09-15 . chapter 6I'll take the knives. Great fic, cute Dick, sweet Bruce, typical Alfred. Blonde? |
 InSixGlasses 2009-08-18 . chapter 6Very cute. I hope you continue! |
Deep Enough to Dream 2009-08-01 . chapter 6love to see how they bonded... so does Dick really know that he's batman? hmm looking fwd to the continuation of the story |
Deep Enough to Dream 2009-08-01 . chapter 4loving this story, and the ads at the end :) |
xKillthelights 2009-07-10 . chapter 6I didn't want to write a review until I got to the end, so here it is!
Can I say that this and chapter 5 are my favorites? Coz they are. I really love when Bruce is training and Dick trains with him, all enthusiastic. Then the pool scene in this chapter, I just couldn't stop smiling.
The comic book was so cute. I couldn't stop smiling. And then what Rachel said about how what you do defines you, then how Dick finds out Bruce is Batman..."You and batman...do the same things." I thought that was so awesome. Really original idea there, not just "OH NO, I JUST FOUND THE ENTRANCE TO THE BATCAVE. BRUCE IS BATMAN!" like I was half expecting.
Amazing story. I'm movin' on up to the sequel. =D |
Fantasygirl721 2009-06-14 . chapter 6Okay I clicked on your latest story, and the I saw the little note that suggested I come back and read this. And damn this was good! First Batman and "Robin" story that I've read! And yes, I've always wondered if there was something significant about that kid too. So great frickin' job.
Off to read the next one now! |
magdilen 2009-01-13 . chapter 6Good job. That was very relaxing to read. I'll be reading the sequal sometime soon, monsterously huge though it is.
I gotta say, though, that Dick's abrupt willingness to open up to Bruce seemed to be a little too fast to me. |
moony's number 1 2008-10-08 . chapter 6Aw, I loved this little story!! Dick is so cute as a little kid! Well done. |
HoistTheColours 2008-09-24 . chapter 6Wow. Completely amazing ending to an amazing story. I was a bit surprised when Dick called figured out that Bruce was Batman, but hey, he’s a smart kid. And it was very cool how Dick figured it out because of what Rachel told him, nice.
This was such a great story. I truly enjoyed every second of it and eagerly look forward to reading the sequel.
Sincerely,

HoistTheColours 2008-09-24 . chapter 5Oh my gosh! I swear, these lines were absolutely the funniest I have ever read. I was laughing so hard my sister came over to see what was so funny. It was this: ‘It was waiting for him, bobbing gently in its pearly pool of milk, smelling like the feed bin on a cattle ranch. Bruce stared glumly at his bran pellets as Alfred solicitously inquired after Dick’s desires.
“What would you care for this morning, Master Dick? Pancakes? An egg? Perhaps a bowl of Lucky Charms?”
“I’d like some Lucky Charms,” Bruce suggested, and was ignored.’
Might I say that you have quite a talent for comedy, because this line had me cracking up too: ‘“No, but you had better put some ice on it. Any goose that sees it is going to be envious.”’
I hope you don’t mind me quoting all these lines back to you, lines of which, you have probably read a hundred times over. But I wanted to let you know how much I loved it!
Also, the dialogue between Alfred and Bruce is always so entertaining, the way you write it. I love just love it.
I normally leave more intelligent reviews than this, but your story just has me at a loss for words.
(Geez, I just realized how much that sounded like a pick-up line, but I assure you, it wasn’t; haha.)
Sincerely,

HoistTheColours 2008-09-24 . chapter 4Aw. The little boy cried himself to sleep in Bruce’s arms.
Another, AMAZING chapter. This story simply astounds me. Bruce Wayne/Batman remain have remained in character this whole time, and you have me eagerly reading down the page.
I applaud you for coming up with such a brilliant plot. But you do have me curious…is this little boy going to turn into…Batman’s sidekick…Robin?
THAT…would be interesting[;
Sincerely,

HoistTheColours 2008-09-24 . chapter 3Oh my gosh! This chapter was SO AWESOME.
I was laughing so hard when I read this line: ‘Ship it to the president.” Wow. Absolutely hilarious! Loved it.
I was also cracking up at this line too: ““But, sir, your bran pellets!”
I did find one spelling mistake though: ‘“…just received three polo ponies for me?”’ I think it is supposed to say FROM, not FOR.
Oh, and I love how you always add the little insert from the Batman comics. It is very neat.
Sincerely,
HoistTheColours |
HoistTheColours 2008-09-24 . chapter 2This is SO good! I absolutely love this!
You, are brilliant.
I love that Bruce finally got the little boy to talk but bringing up the subject of Batman--in a totally discreet way.
Once again, AWESOME.[;

HoistTheColours 2008-09-24 . chapter 1This was really good.
And oh my gosh, Rachel and Bruce are incredibly in-character. It's so refreshing. This is the first ever fic that has captured Rachel so well.
Thank you, for that.
Can't wait to read the next chapter!
Sincerely,

conundrum18 2008-08-26 . chapter 6Wow! So I just read this from the beginning, and I absolutely love it!! You characterized Bruce so well! And Alfred, too. I especially liked the breakfast scenes with the two of them...hilarious. Excellent job! Now on to the sequel :) |
