Yes, much more plausible, realistic. If Manticore lived up to it's reputation (flashback!) Jace would not have flipped sides like a coin, from soldier to civilian, so easily, so on the dime.

Whooa, this is dark but very good. All these things Jace thinks are just part of her training... even superhumans can be conditioned like Pavlov's dogs...

That is a completly different and yet plausible way to look at the scene. Far more realistic in my eyes at least as I thought Jace's turnaround was way to quick in FT. She had been subjected to so many more years of Manticore meaning it would be so much harder for her to forget it. I thought the observations in brackets were very clever aswell. Interesting to read, even though it was a little dark.

ouch. thats harsh. i prefer to think that jace really did believe what max said. sad if she really doesnt think freedom is worthwhile.
