This is a great story. I've only just started reading Chrono Trigger fanfics, and I'm glad yours is one of my first.

My only complaint is that you stick to a tense. I don't know if it's on purpose, or not, but you keep switching from past tense to present tense. It's not confusing or annoying, but it's just for consistency's sake.

And I love the incest jokes. It's so completely wrong, but I really do.

Well, I must say this is one of the most interesting Chrono-related fanfics I've read in a long time. I hope you can continue this sometime soon, however.

My only quip with it so far is it's too short. But I'm not saying you should make it longer or anything, I just wish there was more to this part of the game. Good luck with your writing and I can't wait to see chapter 9.

I really enjoyed this chapter though. Fantastically done. I would have liked it if you kept Janus' origonal dialogue about the black winds though. "The black winds howl. One among you will shortly perish." Far more cryptic and prophetic sounding.

Great chapter. I loved the confrontations, and I liked Crono's little flash of recognition. He's like the only one who realizes what's going on, though, right?

In this chapter, you really nail the coldness of the Magus hiding behind the Prophet, the insecurity of Janus hiding behind the Magus, and the relationship between little Janus and his sister. Both the scenes where little Janus meets the heroes and where they spy the royal siblings in Schala's bedroom were two of my favorites in the game. You do them both great justice.

I feel really bad for the Nu, but its fate seems somehow fitting. It really surprised me when it attacked the maid.

It seems like you've been rather busy lately, but...I've really enjoyed this story, and it's sad to think it might end soon. I just want you to know, if you were to go on to chronicle the rest of the game, I for one would be glad to read it.

... *looks at current date... Looks at date promised for the next chapter... repeats this action a couple times just to get the point across*

The script format works. Reads more like a play than a movie though just so you know though I admit I would like to know what the characters are thinking more often.

Question as Magus' memories get changed he shouldn't be able to remember the old ones because they never happened - shouldn't even realize they are new memories. Or his memories shouldn't get changed at all - like he's existing on a new timeline or something.

Just out of curiosity why do you wait to post the next chapter? You trying to make you're readers earn the right to read it or something by posted reviews. Just seemed weird to me and was wondering if there was a reason for it. Because I want to read the next chapter!

The switch from the scene with the Zeal family to the Prophet was genius. I'm kind of worried about Magus unraveling, though, after the part in the council. I liked what happened with Dalton at the end. I'd read A Very Chrono Christmas and remember liking it very much. If you're doing something similar with Crono's "speech impediment," and I think you are, then I'm more than happy with the way things are going.

Hey, good chapter, good chapter. I'd forgotten Magus's past differed from the heroes' experience. Been too long, I guess. Much appreciated. The flashback worked really well, layering the villains, developing the Mystics, even adding something to Cyrus and the Guardians. Loved its humor. Cool scene with Janus and the bullies. Don't know why but I liked it even better than when Magus meets the one kid later on.

At long last! Good chapter. I really enjoyed Magus' reverie of the past with the mistics.

Zappa is also a character in Crono Cross. Is Dorene the Einlancer?

This was amazing. You have nothing to worry about concerning your skill as a writer. Over the past few nights, I've devoted all my spare time to enjoying this. I have a question, though. How come in both my SNES and PSOne versions of the game, Flea is a guy who looks like a woman, but in everyone's fanfics, he's a she? Anyhow, I love the character development, not just of Magus and the royal family, but of every character so far. Man, those characters just came alive for me. I thought the ending of chapter five was the coolest hint of what's to come. As to the queen's scene with Janus, I liked that she was a mother to him. It would have been real easy to make her out to be a monster, even to Schala and Janus, but I like the choices you've been making. The queen's relationship with Lavos sort of steals the spotlight, though. That was funny as hell. I love your story. You are the master.

Wow! Fantastic chapter. I loved the scene with Gasper and the Queen, even if it resulted in one of my favourite characters no longer having a major role. And the scene with Janus and Zeal was well done too, but truth be told, I'm kinda looking forward to seeing what causes that animosity that Janus has towards her in the game.
