Great story! I also wondered how tthings might play out if Rhett had accepted her offer at the jail. I like that you gave Scarlet a reason to appreciate Rhett earlier. It's heartbreaking that she doesn't see it until Melanie's deathbed in the movie.

Nice! But somehow I find that there's no Scarlett's declaration of love? Moreover, I thought that there is Wade and Scarlett must have bedded with Charles. It is still confusing, but good!

I think I read this like two years ago, I didn't review back then, but I've been improving in that aspect. I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy this, and also your other story "Gone with the Wind Retold" You have quite an interesting take of the characters. Oh my goodness! This was so epic and wonderful. I can't even outline how good I found every single moment in this story to be. Your prose for this period piece is excellent.

The only thing I had a small problem with was that Scarlett hadn't coupled with Charles and had little Wade. I've always felt sympathy for Wade, an unwanted baby and so afraid of his mother. But there really was no place for him in this story so I can see why he was left out. I'm glad you inserted Will.

Really, really impressive job here! I like how you wrote Rhett's thoughts. They seemed very canon; the secret affection and adoration that he felt but could never show was spot on and I enjoyed seeing that inner sympathy, hurt, or remorse.

You should be so so proud of this. It's a masterpiece of fanfiction! Brilliantly done!

I just love reading your stuff. Your Rhett in this story had me wish that Scarlett could wring his neck. He tells Scarlett that he can't trust her because he feels she will cheat on him with Ash. However, when they are apart he attempts to bed a other women!

I would have hated to live in Scarlett's time. Woman had no power then. We as women have come along way!D

Just one question after reading and re-reading I noticed that Scarlett never utter the words I love you back to Rhett. May I ask as to why?
