i was very impressed with this story. this was my first Firefly fanfic. There are alot of he/her/him/she errors in this story so it was a bit choppy. but i liked the plot idea. very realistic ... well the begining anyway

I really enjoyed this! Loved that you let Jayne be mean and grumpy, and I'm always a sucker for River with a gun.

One small thing - have you thought about getting a beta to look it through and edit small grammar and stuff? Because I really liked it, and I get that when you've finished a chapter, you just want to get it.. out there! I also realize, that this is an old story, and maybe you feel like you're .. done with it. Anyway, just a suggestion.

But I really loved it, and the development of the relationship. Thanks for this.

This was really delightful. I read it in one sitting. The backstory and development for Jayne was spot-on and it makes the pairing believable. I love that you didn't ignore the fact that Jayne is not a nice man, which is why we love him.

Wow! what a brilliant story! i love that you wrote about river's pregnancy as a result of their coupling, but not making the whole story about it, and more about their relationship in emotional and mental terms.

the back story you created for Jayne was great too! very believable!

I've never read this before, and on finding it I've just read it straight through, because I couldn't stop. It was excellent! Wonderful plot and character development, and a perfect ending. I'm going to bed far too late because of it ...

OMG. That was absolutely amazing. Wow. Everyone was great. I love Wash. He's so weird, in a funny sort of way, I love Mal, Kaylie is well, she's just simply awesome. I loved all of them. You are such a good writer.

I've never been a Jayne/River shipper but damn, your fic here just about darn changed my mind. I hope you continue other sorts of Firefly/Serenity fics, 'coz you're good and I hope they get past Ch 1. :D I'm just sayin' I love reading long fics like this one. :)

F-ING AMAZING! I think that might be the Jayne-est sentence I have ever read. It was so wonderfully ironic and moralistic... I laughed for a good minute or two. THANKS!!
