All in all, it was a superb fanfic...I love the emotions even if the characters you used are strangers to me...

Hmm... Yes, I would agree that it couldn't be "happy" but it felt more reassuring than anything else. Being said goodbye to won't be too bad so long as hello will come after it someday. That's what makes waiting sound more worthwhile, but I think what you do in between also has to be worthwhile too. Wallowing doesn't help, putting up a mask doesn't help, feeling trapped doesn't help; but if the person steps forward, a step at a time, waiting will not seem like waiting at all.
