If there is a one-shot I could possibly like better than Primer for the Dark Arts, then this is it. I love "peeping Tom" stories, where an observer gets a brief look into the intimate lives of a character or characters. You've executed it wonderfully with delicious subtlety. That brief moment behind the counter where Snape reminds Percy where his wand is and quietly watches - doesn't exactly DO anything but stays and watches and acts as support simply by being there - that was a perfect moment. I like to believe that even though he doesn't get the chance to in JKR's books he would still be an amazing teacher in his way. Actually, if the books had focused more on the Slytherins, I think we would have seen more of that. It makes me want to read something with Snape interacting with his Slytherin students.

I really liked this story story much. You could just see how much Snape cared for Percy even if he didn't show it blatently. Very nicely done.

She shouldn't be getting a warm feeling at that idea. If she recommends the shop to all her friends then the Weasleys will definitely find out that Percy's out of Azkaban and where he is now. Then Ron and the twins will come arond and harass him.

Fabulously written. Wonderfully unique. I love all of the intrigue written between the lines. In many ways I want to know what is really going on and what really happened, but in many ways I love the speculation of trying to figure it out. A great scene to describe what often launches the best gossip =)

This is so good. Your writing is beautiful, fluid and engaging, and the plot is unique. None of the three characters main characters here have a strong connection to the eachother in the book, which makes it all the more interesting to see how you've linked them together in this fic.
Everyone is wonderfully in-character, and you've left the readers with a lot of questions about how this will all turn out. Percy seems more cheerful and less arrogant than usual, which is not out of character, but just intriguing. I do hope that you continue this.

Wow! I really like the start you have here and, of course, my mind is bubbling with questions. Why isn't Snape at Hogwarts and if Percy wasn't a DE why did he go to Azkaban? Will Hermione tell Ron about Percy? I suspect she will tell Harry, but do the rest of the Weasley's know where he is or that he's out? I'm sure Hermione thinks she's doing good, but I wonder if she's off on a crusade that might do more harm than good. Looking forward to your next chapter.
