Dammit...I think I'm gonna cry. That was beautiful Adam. You've totally excelled any of my attempts at writing serious fics. It's so good...T_T...

Why not? That's the beauty of writing - you can take all sorts of things and twist them around into your own reality. You can't look at a story one way and say, "This doesn't make sense" (granted that the plot flows smoothly; I have seen authors digress on totally un-related topics for no apparent reason) That's missing the point of the creativity. (To answer your question, Cloud was the one who defeated Sephiroth in the end, so why not get the best of both worlds?) Fiction is all about bending reality to how you see fit. Having Cloud and Sephy fight side by side for a guy who lives Halloween 24x7x365 just seems fitting to me. I plugged them in, it seems to work well, so I'm going to go with it. Don't dwell on "why," just dwell on "what" they're going to do. Just sit back and enjoy the story.

Why is Cloud one of Slade's apprentices? That just doesn't make sense to me.
