I must admit, this is one of the best stories I have read so far in my life and believe me there were many.
Even some professional writers didn't reach your wonderful composition of sentences, chapters, even your pauses were marvelous to read and your characterization was very good. For example, it created a very interesting Shan-Yu, while not completly altering his character, as I have seen in many other fanfiction concerning villains. Also, you made me like the idea of Mulan/Shan-Yu much more then the one of Shang/Mulan, just for its interesting uniqueness and...I can't really describe the feeling, but overall it seems just so realistical in the way you laid it out, it reminds me of a historical documentary.
I know there is not much hope of you continuing this, seeing as you last updated it 3 years ago, but I would really look forward to the next part, should you ever decide to work on that.

Wow, an amazing, well thought out and intense journey! Although it is not what I expected, it's surprizingly somewhat satisfying. Hmm...I don't know, I am unsure of how I had immagined the ending(hahah, Shang and Mulan falling in love, happily ever after) but still, I think you did your research really well, you orchestrated the chapters really well and they all tied together in the end. Very creative, especially the idea to create an alternate ending to the movie(and such a long one at that!). Great story, you are an amazing writing, your effort and hardwork shows and I wish you luck and please continue writing :)

Do u have any idea as to when u are going to make the sequel? Its an intersting story and I like the story very much. There aren't alot of stories with Shan Yu and I would like to see more of him getting a girl and softening up a bit, even if it wasn't with mulan

This was a great story. I thought it was interesting how you made the Huns seem more human. I've never seen that before.

well, of course physical sensation is pleasant. what's not to like, geez? doesnt' mean it's more important that WHO'S doing it. if she really cared about shang or honor or any of that stuff, she'd be repulsed enough by the idea of another man, let alone the enemy. this is turning out to be some stockholme syndrome, thing, or worse, her naivete is turning into stupidity for even comparing the two men, honestly. sometimes you fight on principle, even if it "feels good"

WOW! I like this fic just as much if not more than the "Ballad of Li". Beautiful characterization - I would have never thought that I might be sympathetic with Shan-Yu. Disney often does their villains too one-dimensional - you have painted him as a fully realized 3-D character. I think too often our government and media pain conflicts as one-sided, as black and white. Unfortunately the real world is actually shades of gray. You have done a wonderful job here. I look forward to reading your sequel (you ARE going to write it, right :) )
