1/6/12 . chapter 53
OMGSH. For a fifteen year old at the time of finishing this story, I am so impressed (that makes me sound like I am fan bloody tastic- but I don't mean it that way). Your writing style was great and novel consistent. Your character development was good and rather canon parallel. I was shocked by the twist at the end, because I love the characters, but I suppose at least that way you weren't selective with who lived or died. Love the story xx

P.S: this is my fan fic name... I was just too lazy to log in :P

I loved reading this story. You're a very talented writer. I was kind of disappointed in how JK Rowling ended the series with practically everyone having a happy ending. This is more realistic and a better plot on the whole.

I appreciated this story very much. I love that you got Ginny's full name right, and this story comes with a great plot. I didn't see any real flaws in the writing, and I feel like that is a major accomplishment for a story of this length. Congratulations on a great story, however I am interested in a sequal. The only thing I'm not sure about is the bitter ending and the way that harry still seems to have a rage streak inside of himself... Also, we never really found out how he hurt Ginny, or what possessed him to push her further than she wanted him to go.

How ironic that you start the chapter saying that you don't support the 'Harry-is-a-horcrux' theory and you don't think JKR would do that...and she did. :P

it's kinda funny, now, though, cuz JK Rowling DID make Harry a Horcrux

i just wanted to say that mortified means to be extremely embarrassed, not scared. and FINALLY! someone who knows Ginny's real name!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story very much. You're writing is amazing, as was the plot.

I do have to admit to being a bit shocked that you finished it with everyone bar those four dying: I did not expect it at all. But it was a good ending to a great story. Well done :)

1945? Tom was WWII baby? Gracious, that explains a lot. He would have even been alive and living at the orphanage during the Blitz.

That was an amazing story. There were definitely times when I thought you had finished DH before writing, and the part with Snape is probably the most obvious example. You are a very talented writer and I appreciate all of the work that you did in writing this and then posting it on ff for many to read.

The way that you had the search for the horcruxes interwoven with the rest of the plot was very well done. I've read very few authors who are able to pull that off well, and you certainly did.

I also liked how though there was some angst, it wasn't all consuming and hopeless, nor was the romance so blatant that it seemed superficial. The fact that Harry and Ginny could communicate was handled in a way that was very believable in the sense that it wasn't a huge plot device, but a way of contnuing the story and adding in something different.

Nicely done and I look forward to reading more of your work in the future. Kudos.

I cant even begin to explain the amazing emotion ride you have taken me in since I started reading this story. You truly are an incredibly talented writer. In the emotion side, I believe you did better than J.K.Rowling herself!

You made me understand things I didnt even know were there, about the characters of harry potter and about the world in general. I can honestly say that I have never, ever, read a more fitting, wonderfull and so terribly well written harry potter story (and I say story and not fanfiction because this is on an entirely different level).

Were you seriously just 15? You should consider writing a novel.

And what a horrible, but terribly fitting ending for this story! I mean, I would obviously have liked for everybody to be alive, well and happy, but that is unrealistic isnt it? everything cant always be perfect. Wars change people, they change their views of the world that surrounds them.

You portrayed that perfectly.

Congratulations, and thank you, for the amazing experience!

i was thinking the other day of how i became so interested in fanfiction. i remember it was two years ago and i thought about the hp book series, and i thought "what if something else happened instead? what if nothing happened at all?" i decided to give fanfiction a shot and your story was the first the first one that popped up that fitted my requirements. I enjoyed your story so much, and now that i think about it, if it wasnt for your story being so good then i probably would of stopped reading fanfiction. But now, 2 years later, i am obsessed with fanfiction and it has bought soooooo much joy to my life. i have searched and dissected practically every fanfic site out there and every time i find a good read and an author with talent i get so excited. To this day, your story is probably my favourtite all time story for introducing me to this world and for that i want to thank you. seriously, thank you :)

look i know that killing malfloy might have seen like a demand and even though i dont completly agree i think it was nesscary but i think that the part in where harry believes he like the feeling of the first kill was unnesscary since harry felt dirty 2 seconds before and he would never enjoy that feeling of killing malfloy even if it was the set him free he im sure would even feel a bit guilty

I just finished this story and have to say that I liked it up until the end where we find out that no one else survived the fight. :( However, I am extremely surprised that this was started when you were 13! If I could have written half this well at that age I would have considered that a huge accomplishment. The subjects you covered in the story were approached in a fairly believable manner with really not much in the way of extraneous information. All information kept the story moving. As ithe mother of a 13 year old, I understand what a feat this was, and am proud of what you accomplished with this story and the quality of writing. I hope you've kept it up in the intervening years.
