Millipedes do secrete Hydrogen Cyanide, which is potetially deadly, but only if you touch them or upset them, and then stick your fingers in your mouth, so yes, they make no damage. A+! Also, you are correct in haveing your millipede Characters looking for a damp area. I know that they like about 70-80 degree areas and that are damp, since they are rainforest type creatures. Also, big A+ for making Grissom have a Giant African Millipede. I have one too, his name is Billy, yes, after William Petersen, who acts Grissom, and I have to say, I love the little critter.
