Wandering-Recluse 2009-08-26 . chapter 3Okay-this has had to be one of the best stories I have read on here (and I do not say that lightly-and I have read more than most people think...probably because I have way to much time on my hands.) Anyway. I have watched the R Enguld version and to be truthful I didn't like all the blood and guts (major factor there...) but I loved the way Enguld acted in it. And the scene with Erik and the prostitute actually made me feel bad for him. The piano scene was good as well.
But I never expected any fluffy stories to come out of it. I swear-I thought I had tried to make up some but could not think of anything. You my dear are a miracle worker. I loved this story. I laughed so hard at it. I loved Erik's personality. He was hilarious!I love how he kept humoring her until the end of the story. That was hilarious. And I love the ending. The curse was finally broken.
Anyway-please, please write more Enguld phics! This one was so amazing you must write more! |
januaryfreeze92 2008-05-05 . chapter 3Yay! That was so cool. I never knew one could make the Robert Englund version into a fluff! You are very talented! |
 authorgirl 2007-11-12 . chapter 3Hi,

Please stop by and review my story. |
Sarah Crawford 2007-06-21 . chapter 3Great little piece. No, I didn't think it possible to make Englund's phantom fluffy, but you did it and did it pretty well. Congratulations. ;) And yes, the Erik Destler in your story is very much like Englund's character before the curse. |
Sarah Crawford 2007-06-21 . chapter 2I just saw this movie for the first time this week… and the second time. There is something captivating about it despite all the blood and killing and skinning of victims. You’re right about Englund’s character; he’s amazing, although he’s not your typical phantom. I had to watch the movie a second time before sending it back to the library. However, the Robert Englund Phantom is one of the visions of POTO that I have to watch thinking of it as a completely different story (along with the Charles Dance version and the Claude Rains version). If I thought of it as Gaston Leroux’s Phantom of the Opera I would hate it, but as a story on its own I do enjoy it. I’m glad to see a fan fiction based on it, because the ending will always be a mystery. I’m very interested to see where you are going with this. |
rosecrush 2007-03-04 . chapter 3 this was really cute. i loved it. ^^ i just saw the movie too. |

But I was totally waiting for Erik in teh park to be like. "Ha! I totally fooled you. You thought I forgot everthing. Nope, I was just playing dumb. And now I'm going to kidnap you and you'll never see the light of day again. Tough break, toots"

xXMusicxofxthexNightXx 2006-06-05 . chapter 3YES! I LOVED IT! I must say, you are my new favorite authoress! After watching the Robert Englund version(which i only bought because it was ten bucks at walmart, i didnt expect it to be all that great) my first thought was.. "Hes the most hideously sexy phantom I've ever seen, but noone will ever be able to make a phic out of THIS." But, alas, you have achieved what i thot was impossible: creating a fluffy RE. Bravo, authoress, I applaud you for yet another amazing phic.

ilsa 2005-12-28 . chapter 3 Well, this is the second time I'm reading this fic. The first time, I hadn't watched the RE film yet, so I was slightly out of what exactly was going on, but this time, after the film, I find I can appreciate this much better.
This was both beautiful and creative. I just like that Erik and Christine got to be together, and they both used so much humour in coming together again - all those witty lines you wrote are fantastic. I like your explanation for what happened in the film as the film's ending was always a little unclear. I like your idea of them being reincarnations and that Erik didn't remember. It's also great that you remembered that there were more copies of the music that Christine originally practiced with that also needed to be destroyed.
The RE film's Erik is so very Erik, isn't he? *wide grin* Though I find Jill Schoelen very lovely and she really looks Christine-ish, as well. I like that little mention of 'tonight you will be my bride'. So you think they consummated the relationship, eh? I always wondered.
All in all, a great job as such a nice ending for our poor, tortured RE Erik! |
