our band is a really crappy band and they dont really care if we win or not. a lot of the time that bothers me, but at one compition, at Floyd Central(the only competition i remember the name of the school), we didn't win any awards at all, but when we had performed, the audience loved us, and we felt great. i think that was our best and most memorable competition ever, we rushed the field at the end even though we didn't win anything. that's when i really knew you dont have to win to be a winner.

hey i know how ya feel! our band of 250 people missed the grand champ award in the fiesta bowl by 2 points :( we're from MN but we did have a really good time in Pheonix tho, it was really worth it i know could have done better tho, the day before in our last practice we were marching like gods...but then the parade was really unorganized and the officals made us run the 2nd half cuz we were too far behind tho we were keeping up w/ the required speed. but anyways...i feel for ya

2nd place? lucky! we went this year and didn't make finals for 2 reasons... 1)we didn't use any props only flags, all except one of the bands in finals had props 2)It was really windy when we performed and it blew alot of our flag the wrong way, making it almost impossible for the Color Guard to catch... We did get a first place at Desoto though... that was kewl

Oh... that must have been terrible- well, all I can say is, at least you didn't lose; And you know what they say, "First is the worst, second is the best, third is the... wait, I forgot..."

Okay, I want to apoligize to those that couldn't read my story. I was just informed that some received a blank screen, others got random characters, and them some oculd actualy read the danged stories... Is ffn against me, or marching band? Oh well. Hope these are easier to read. Also, I want to apoligize to gyncks, who though I'm sure was being sarcastic (if you weren't, sorry thats how it sounded) claimed this was a nice story anyway.
