PkGam 2009-10-29 . chapter 45This is one of the first fanfictions I have ever read. It's actually one of the stories that got me hooked to them in the first place! Ha ha!
This story is excellent, though it's extremely confusing... Yet almost too much sometimes... But it is part of the appeal of it to me. Like, sometimes I read parts that irked my memory of older parts... then I had to try and remember what it was that related to it. Like it is one big puzzle trying to put together the lives of all the "residents" so to speak through character development.
Characters testing and exploring their cells in their own ways was always a interesting thing. It's like you hoped one of them would find a loophole or whatnot in the mysterious mirror prison whenever they would discover something different or tried to test things out.
The emotional reactions of characters to events that they seen in other cells or on things happening in their own cells was incredible and well thought out. It's like the entire story was set up from the start... which I'm pretty sure couldn't be the case because most of the stories on here are written on a day-by-day basis due to length.
Overall it is a great story! |
cornwallace 2007-07-09 . chapter 45I usually do not review, but that was pretty ** cool. |
Fish the Impaler 2006-10-14 . chapter 45*Applause* Bravo! A worthy departure from the fanfiction scene, if indeed I remember your original announcement correctly and you haven't changed your plans. If I don't or you have changed your plans, then a worthy fic. :)
(I do think the direct address in the last chapter breaks the fourth wall a little too much, though. Why not have him recite the contents to Sally over some tip steaks a nice chianti?) |
Wingless Rain 2006-10-14 . chapter 45A very, very nice ending.
Fitting, in many ways, and that's all I have to say about this piece. |
Wingless Rain 2006-09-24 . chapter 43This chapter almost made me sad. |
Wingless Rain 2006-09-16 . chapter 42If I ever make a dictionary, chapter forty-two of Reflections is going to be listed under 'cryptic.' |
Wingless Rain 2006-08-28 . chapter 40Tails' death should have been more graphic, with gurgles, sputters, and the whole 'taking to the knees and dying'-thing.
Overall god, with the story reaching into, for most readers, unthinkable and taboo sides of the human mind. |
Wingless Rain 2006-08-19 . chapter 39Well, what can I say?
Sanity is for the weak, maybe. |
Wingless Rain 2006-08-18 . chapter 31I see this as a Sonic version of Lost, or Big brother. It's all about character development and tying threads together - no more, no less.
Cryptic, too cryptic, but it beats receiving no feedback at all.
You've got a character gallery so big and varied that it rivals that woven by Daisuke Ishiwatari himself, but there's no real action going on, except the previously mentioned character development.
There's the usual assortment of closeted people, perverts, helpless, socially inept, and so on, but I have no idea what the big picture is, or if there even is one.
Something tells me it will all end like a Clancy novel, or a noir movie.
So many new faces, so many new personalities, so many words that my eyes bleed from reading them all over - twice.
I'll keep my eyes on this thing, because I don't believe either one of you is capable of performing poorly. |
Wingless Rain 2006-08-18 . chapter 10I seem to recall you sending me pieces of this mammoth in ages past, Steve, but I'll have to read further before being able to say anything of value. |
Belser 2006-08-16 . chapter 38It's nice to see you guys writing again.
It's too bad the rest of the fandom is too infected with an overflow of shoddy writing, artwork, and fancharacters with the words "shadow", "dark", "blade", and "kitsune" to be much of a bother to anyone.
I'm sorry, was I ranting? |
Jak Goobles 2006-06-18 . chapter 36"Breezy" either meant something or nothing. Probably nothing.
So when are you guys going to finish this? You've been on hiatus for about four months and the majority of Sonic fandom is less than acceptable.
You two are doing excellent work here; I'm looking forward to when you eventually... update... maybe? I'm gonna go read Haunted until that happens. Same story, pretty much, 'cept they're not furries.
Furries... I hate that word. |
Tha Kalligrapha 2006-03-25 . chapter 27This chapter . . . it was frightening - actually frightening. I can't say that about many fictions these days, even those that are written by published, accomplished authors. I only wish you hadn't killed everybody. Red, in the short amount of time that he had, was an excellent character, and quite relatable. Steve's death, as well, was shockingly powerful. An excellent chapter - one of the best either of you has ever written. |
Tha Kalligrapha 2005-12-10 . chapter 26Thank God you managed to recover . . . yet again. This chapter's in the same vein of some of the better ones - much more visual and visceral. Yeah. |
Tha Kalligrapha 2005-12-07 . chapter 25Good emotion here - word play, description, etc. That's about it. It's an interlude, remember? |
