MSYOU 2007-11-12 . chapter 2"I WILL ENJOY WATCHING YOU COME TO ME. YOU WILL FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED, WATARI YUTAKA-KUN." THOSE WORDS SEND CHILLS TO MY SPINE. NICELY DONE^_^ |
Trans 2007-08-12 . chapter 12oh my...This is absolutely fabulous! Considering I stayed up until 6:30 in the morning to finsh what you have written so far, I suppose it would have to be. Anywho, great plot construction. Also the whole, is this reality or not, thing, really added a great element of insanity to the whole story. You drew Tatsumi and Watari's character together perfectly. Enma's character...pure evil. I love how you worked his mind games.
It seems that your story is near an end, but by the last update date, I'm guessing an update in the close future is pretty slim. Either way, I will wait hopefully for your next installment. |
 midnights-dawn 2007-06-14 . chapter 12This is a really good fic. I wish you would continue it. |
 The Earl of Angelstone 2006-10-14 . chapter 12god I love this...please continue! |
samuraiduck27 2006-03-12 . chapter 12Absolutely lovely story... I love this plot idea. :) Although... how evil of you to leave me off at the end and not update! *shame**shame* Just joking, but will you please update soon? I can't wait! |
LG 2006-03-11 . chapter 12This is a fascinating, well-written story. I've enjoyed it so far, and I'm eager to see where you'll go with it! ^_^ |
Azure Phantom 2006-02-28 . chapter 11Sorry... here I am again... evil cut the review... again... *mumbles*: I'm... intrigued. I must point out you've just made me a happy woman. A very happy woman. I've fallen in love with your fic. Yesterday night I went through the entire arc (Absit Omen, Desperado and Against the wind) in one sit, and although my head is currently just a mass of unknown material, most likely blob, after having DREAMT about it, (Yes, I actually dreamt the whole story, go me!) In all my masochism I sat down to read it AGAIN. I must simply congratulate myself with you. The way you write is simply marvelous: Even after having already read it yesterday night I could still feel the anxiety and continuous fear wash all over me of wether it was all just a painful illusion or it was actually happening. I had always been undecided between whom I prefered: Hisoka or Watari. However, thanks to you, I am completely sure the one I love the most is our beloved KinU. I'm glad you wrote this story(which I have just labeled my favourite, mind you) for you have given Watari the importance I believe he should have. I've always believed there was more to Watari than what they portray; and so imagine my delight when I first read your fic. I love your characterization and you descriptions. You have realy created a world so similiar to the manga I had even forgot that I was just reading a fanfiction... seriously... *worships* Thank you for your fast reply. ^^ |
 Azure Phantom 2006-02-28 . chapter 12*pokes viciously* new chapter? D: |
Triskell 2005-12-26 . chapter 10I love Tatsumi's calm reasoning, how he tries to make sense of Watari's reasoning, how he tries to think of a way to make parting easier for both of them. It's a perfectly paced study of the characteristics most associated with Tatsumi.
Just gorgeous.
It had taken all willpower he had left to walk out, his own shadow tainted with the knowledge that he might never see Watari again.
I particularly like this sentence, because it doesn't only encompass Tatsumi's pain and fear so well, but also because it so easily plays off the image of Tatsumi's powers - which are all but useless to him in this situation.
Coffee stains. Dark brown, long since dried out; transparent enough to reveal the culprit's name – Watari Yutaka – on top of the page. Smudged ink, half-dissolved in probably too sweet liquid, spilled by a careless hand. An oddly angled line, added in haste in far from calligraphic letters – Sorry for the mess! – and an apologetic, completely inappropriate smiling face to go with it.
Tatsumi's shoulders shook. He swept his glasses out of the way, pushed them up into his hairline with a shaky hand. He stared at that report, already almost crumpled in his hand, and he felt himself go rigid the longer he kept his eyes on it. The kanji began to blur, lines melting into the paper, the words merging into one unintelligible mess. He heard his own shuddering sigh escape him and he leaned forward, his elbows hitting the desktop hard as he buried his face in his hands.
I had promised myself not to quote the whole fic ;D, but this - these two paragraphs are so beautiful, so powerful, and they hold so much love and hurt in them, the emotions almost seem to spill over from the words. Perfect. *sigh*
I very much like your bringing Tsuzuki in - it's good that the heavy focus on Tatsumi's turbulent feelings is broken by Tsuzuki's shock about the news. It makes it seem more real in a way, less focused on Tatsumi and Watari, but also spread out into the world they inhabit aka the office. *hopes she's making sense* ;D
The break room incident was grand, too - I felt the oppressiveness of the atmosphere clearly in your writing and I can't help but love Tatsumi's breaking a coffee cup and being panicky about losing his dignity ;D. So him...
And - major squealage - Tatsumi gets settled with 003! The cuteness ;D *cough*. I adored seeing Konoe trying to get her to eat, added depth to his character ;D.
Oh dear - the meeting between Enma and Tatsumi - wow. That was something else! Incredibly well written; Enma's so delightfully vicious and cunning - the kind of opponent that's practically impossible to defeat (*still has hopes for Watari*).
Watari's silk ribbon looked so red against his hand.
And that was a superb ending *claps*. I now need to read part 11, so I can fangirl some more *winks*. |
MikaSamu 2005-12-10 . chapter 11Argh! What an evil cliffhanger. Enthralling as always. Touya is a fascinating character and I'm sure we'll enjoy learning more about her and her tantalyzing secrets. Enma -- throughout and particularly his reference to his meeting with "an accountant" continues to show himself to be a real b_d. I eagerly wait for more. |
alex700 2005-12-05 . chapter 10Oh my... It doesn't look too good for them, Enma is after them both XD. I loved how you put so many things in one chapter without losing that sense of consistency in it. Looking forward to next chappie!

MikaSamu 2005-12-01 . chapter 10To say 'poor Tatsumi' is not nearly enough. Wonderful, emotional chapter. I hope Tatsumi and Watari find a way around EnmaCho's plans and cruelty. |
loanshark 2005-12-01 . chapter 10 poor poor tatsumi...i like it though! it's nice to have a focus on tatsumi for once after everything that has happened...enma is really controlling them all with an iron hand, ne? looking forward to the next chapter! :) |
Hazel-Beka 2005-12-01 . chapter 10Hazel: An all Tatsumi chapter, huh? Nice but irritating at the same time because I want to know what's happening with Watari too.
Beka: Enma has some nerve, doesn't he? I almost wish Tatsumi had riped him apart with his shadows, if not for the fact that he'd probably be killed in the attempt.
Hazel: And that was such a sweet ending. Watari left his ribbon. For some reason that was more sentimental than any goodbye note would have been. Update soon please. |
SeekerAstria 2005-11-28 . chapter 4This is very well written, and there are some very interesting things going on, in regards to plot and characterisation. The tension of Watari's resistance alongside and Tatsumi's guarded attempts to help is acute, and comes off nicely. I'll be interested to read what happens in the Hall of Candles. The two tracks you cited as a 'soundtrack' go well with the feel of the chapter. Will certainly be reading on. |
