This was an absolutely captivating story. Once I read the first chapter, a little unsure, I couldn't stop and had to read them all. Thank you so very much for writing this. Reading Crane's development into Scarecrow was chilling, and you have amazing skill. Even though I found this a few years late, I'm grateful for the opportunity to enjoy it. :)

This is really good! I'm going to add this to the C2 also. It's very well done, both his childhood and adult life...It's difficult to portray his childhood well, and it's been botched in fics before, but yours is very good!

Ye! What a fabulous story. I've been quite starved for good Crane fic, without the OC romances or the mediocre writing. You've done an EXCELLENT job. I loved how you wrote him, the characterization was dead-on. He was sympathetic, but you didn't have him become sugar coated. The fall into madness was beautiful. And I didn't hate Emily. It's rare that I find OCs that don't make me want to kill them! I loved this, and will read the sequel!
