Love the research and the detail you put into your stories! I just reread 'Hajime and Tokio' (for probably the 14th or 15th time)and I still cried, even though I've read it so often... I was so into your writing there that I've decided to read everything else - a good decision as it turns out! I love this idea, hardly anyone follows the tale of Anji... and in such an interesting way! I'm looking forward to reading mre of your work. (by the way, if H&T ever comes out in paperback, you have at least one fan who'd love to buy it!)

I read this before I got to the episodes showing who Anji and Aoshi were and then I read it after I watched the anime and both times I'm just all I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS. It's so awesome that you would write a story about Anji's time after.

Truly, what else can I say? You're still the mistress of all that is twisting, Aoshi, and plot.

I'm fascinated already and Aoshi isn't even really up and about yet. The idea of Aoshi as a serial child molester/killer is absurd, so I'm really looking forward to finding out how the mystery will be resolved. I can't really see him killing Misao either, but I can definitely see the police finding him mourning over her body and leaping to the wrong conclusion. Apart from Saitoh, the police portrayed in the RK anime aren't exactly mensa material!

Angi was always a very sympathetic character. Of all the Juppon Gatana, he alone seemed to retain a shred of common decency despite his quest for retribution. I'm glad you aren't making him too perfect though. Showing his doubts and the ineffectiveness of his sutra chanting makes him more understandable and human. I like that you chose to use his P.O.V. It's working very well. The minor OCs are also interesting and well described.

XD I'm so glad you updated!! The whole premise of the story is cool, and your second chapter definitely does not disappoint. Besides all the interesting prison interactions... hm... I think it really deepens the whole mystery of what actually happened with Aoshi to have everything discovered from Anji's perspective. Also I like how you show Anji's hard efforts are to truly change, because that kind of thing can not be easy. And I am also very suspicious about the Ainu boy. I halfway thought it might be Soujirou, until I read about his eyes...
(Ah, now I just want to read the next chapter!)

I'm really enjoying how this story is developing. You really managed to surprise me with the story Anji recalls about the rurouni who stayed with them a night. I'm eager to see how the other prisoners will take to Aoshi. That and Anji's (possible?) lack of continued animosity toward him, considering what they know he's in for. Once again, I love the historical accuracy and I look forward to your next update.

Great story...I can't believe that something taking place inside a boring prison of all places could be so interesting. I can't wait for Anji to find out who really killed Misao and all those children...and for him to smoosh the evil murderer's head!

Aww...very sweet. The last line, I mean. Torture and stuff isn't... I wanna know what Aoshi's doing in prison, too! I hope it was somehting like: "I killed someone to save [insert name]"
